Kicking off #FridayNightZillow:
Your own *PRIVATE ISLAND* you can *drive to* on your own gated causeway. It's nice, if you're into that sort of thing.
13BR, 12BAs, 14K sf, 3.5 acres, 8 fireplaces.
Stamford, Conn.
$7.995M. zillow.com/homedetails/14…
Nice lap pool. Nice views. Multiple houses. Plenty of parking. #FridayNightZillow
I like the colors here. Not a big columns guy. But that looks like a pretty sweet library. #FridayNightZillow
This isn't the gaudiest bathroom you'll see tonight, but it'll do. #FridayNightZillow
NEXT: An-over-the-top Sugarland, Texas megamansion w/INSANE eye candy. Wall of windows, I think a (dry) koi pond/waterfall running through living room w/bridge, cool kitchen, bedrooms you must see to believe.
17,500sf, 7BR, 9BA. $4.75M. #FridayNightZillow zillow.com/homedetails/21…
BAM! This is a bedroom and a substitute for caffeine! Helping you stay awake because we've got a lot of homes to get through tonight! #FridayNightZillow
This is a Sink. #SinkZillow#FridayNightZillow No idea what those vaguely Oscars-like statues are. So much in this house confuses me.
I *really* do like this kitchen. Multiple fridges, serious workspace, cool hood, fun color. Some people are afraid of color. These people are not. The high-up CRT TV however has got to go. #FridayNightZillow
A bathroom with a glass wall to the outside is always a bold choice, I guess. Generally I don't think bathrooms should be this large unless you are planning to hold parties in there? #FridayNightZillow
Party time! Movie theater on top, bar/nightclub/wine room on bottom. #FridayNightZillow
Odd collection of buildings in Willard, Utah for $800K on #FridayNightZillow:
*Tiki Shaved Ice Shack - make $!
*3K+sf w/Hopi/Pueblo decor, multiple homes
*Zen garden/Chicken coop/Fruit trees/zoned for farm animals/fish pond/teepee/labyrinth. It's a lot... zillow.com/homedetails/68…
I think that's a Buddha, some rocks, and bottle art. I didn't know Utah got this weird? #FridayNightZillow
This is the master bedroom. I have questions. Anybody have answers? #FridayNightZillow
Was going to show a huge place once used as a skating rink by Lucille Ball for $299K but the listing has just been removed. Sorry. #FridayNightZillow
10-year-old daughter found an *AMAZING* movie theater/home combo in Oregon. 8,600 sf, 2BR, 10BA, 2 movie screens, Dolby, popcorn machine, legit awesome.
Only $1.2M!
We *must* get together and buy this for the FNZ properties ETF. #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/21…
I've kind of always dreamed of being able to step out of my house and immediately be at work. Commute: 0 minutes. Bonus: Sundeck. #FridayNightZillow
Sorry have to step away briefly to take a COVID test because my phone just sent me an alert.
Now have to wait 15 minutes for the results after I figured out the test.
Ever wanted your own Montana ranch? This one's a bit of a fixer upper, but you get *1,664* acres and, uh, this shack with skulls on it. Just $1.2M! #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/Wy…
Imagine quitting your city job with your city troubles and moving to paradise. I'd want some solar panels, stat. #FridayNightZillow
Kind of reminds me of the nice shop they built in Schitt's Creek. #FridayNightZillow
Next home is, uh, let's just say you might want to go to bed right now if you are scared easily. #FridayNightZillow
$399K for a 7K sf bunker originally built as a bomb shelter in Yucca, AZ. Catch: Non-working well. Catch2: 😱Vibes!!! Catch 3: A major fixer-upper.
Bonus: 17.7 acres. Airplane hangar! Train car turned into workshop! No grass to mow! #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/13…
Getting a Stephen King Dark Tower kind of feel on the exterior.... #FridayNightZillow
I think this is the scariest toilet paper holder I've ever seen. #FridayNightZillow
The, uh, bedroom could have been staged better. Also, Wouldn't mind, like a window or something in here. #FridayNightZillow
Could imagine filming like a Thunderdome fight scene in here. #FridayNightZillow
Ending tonight with an Alpaca farm and yarn shop + home in Michigan. A perfect place for somebody who loves Alpaca and yarn and Michigan. Maybe that's you? $885K #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/61…?
Hope you enjoyed this week's #FridayNightZillow and gave you at least something to smile at. As usual, most of the homes tonight were found by my sister-in-law and my wife. See y'all in the next one.
Important update thread on the long history of the #FridayNightZillow private island, which was featured in multiple interesting documentaries:
UPDATE: This is the longtime estate of John Adams Morgan, of J.P. Morgan / John Adams lineage. His 4th wife, @SonjatMorgan, is a star on Real Housewives of New York. stamfordadvocate.com/realestate/sli…
A previous inhabitant of the #FridayNightZillow fantasy island, Sue Sarah Gilbert, made two documentaries about life on then-Greenaway Island, and now I'm obsessed. Here's her website, Beyond Greenaway: beyondgreenaway.com
FIRST on an epic #FridayNightZillow 🧵: A fantastic, cray-cray New Mexico adobe compound.

New rule: Never make your *Taxidermy Room* and your *Pool Room* the same room. For all kinds of reasons! #FridayNightZillow
Koi on the left, workout/hangout patio on the right. This is more my cup o' tea. #FridayNightZillow
*MCCONNELL: I CANNOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT JUDGE JACKSON
The last time Mitch McConnell voted for a Democratic nominee to the Supreme Court was in 1994 for Stephen Breyer, the same justice Ketanji Brown Jackson clerked for and has been nominated to replace.
(McConnell voted against Kagan and Sotomayor and blocked a vote on Merrick Garland.) senate.gov/legislative/no…
Reminder: Republicans need to show up to the vote or there won't be a quorum. No quorum = no vote = no going to the Senate floor unless you have 60 votes or 50+VP+☢️. (See Sarah Bloom Raskin/Banking.)
Democrats boycotted vote on Barrett, so then-Chairman Lindsey Graham nuked the *committee's* special quorum rule. But the *Senate's* majority-quorum rule is different, and can't be changed in committee.
R senators have been saying they won't do this, fwiw.
