Labor leader De Guzman is wearing his signature red polo for the 2nd presidential debate.
On solution vs corruption, De Guzman says corruption is a big problem of our country. He says he will strengthen the existing laws and gov't agencies vs corruption.
De Guzman segues to his platform of electoral reform to supposedly fight corruption.
De Guzman says election watchers should not be allowed, instead, college graduates should be mobilized to be poll watchers.
The labor leader also mentions that political dynasties have also ties with corruption. De Guzman says the 'system' is the problem, which enables corruption.
Leody asks Lacson about their disagreement on whether corruption is an issue of a person or the system.
De Guzman mentions political dynasty and electoral system.
On political party system, De Guzman says there should be a clear law for 'political butterflies' in the country's government system.
He says the transferring of a politician from one party to another benefits the interest of capitalists.
On repression in Myanmar, De Guzman says the PH gov't should have a clear stance on the issue.
"Dapat maging klaro 'yong posisyon ng ating pamahalaan."
De Guzman then segues on the crackdown of the PH gov't on human rights. Under Duterte, thousands were killed in the drug war. Hundreds of activists and human rights workers were also killed.
On human rights concerns, De Guzman says protecting human rights is important.
"Inabot na natin ang sibilisadong lipunan, tapos na ang barbarismo,"
Leody says gov't programs like the NTF-ELCAC, red-tagging, and the draconian anti-terror law should be removed to address human rights concerns.
"Hindi puwede ang kasalukuyang sistema ng gobyerno na: Kill. Kill. Kill."
De Guzman says human rights violations will remain as long as injustices continue to exist.
On climate change and change to renewable energy, Leody says the law is there for renewable energy, but previous administrations lacked political will.
Coal plants should also be avoided, says De Guzman.
On food security, De Guzman says the gov't must freeze its ties with the World Trade Organization.
The labor leader says the government must also increase the budget for farmers.
In his closing statement, De Guzman starts off by blasting his so-called traditional politicians.
He encourages voters to elect a worker like him as the next president.
"Subukan natin na ang ating pangulo ay galing sa hanay ng manggagawa."
