Good to see another car manufacturer looking to enable both behind-the-meter and grid-interactive use of bidirectional charging - and apparently it's not a hardware, but only a software change (not retroactive for existing cars though, it seems) #V2G #V2X hyundai.news/eu/articles/pr… Hyundai infographic on V2G ...

things might be a bit more complicated in the US without this CCS connector standard on all vehicles. However, the underlying EV - charge point communication for safe power supply is the same, and the 15118 Plug & Charge standard makes authentication seamless, too.

France 🇫🇷 now announced the details of the new support for electric trucks too: 65% of the cost difference, up to € 100,000 for a bus, € 150,000 for a heavy-duty truck.
Charging infrastructure costs are covered for up to 60%.

In 🇪🇺 the retroactive rollout of #V2X to Volkswagen electric cars (w/ 77 kWh 🔋) enables car-house-grid integration

In 🇺🇸 the Ford F-150 truck (w/ 98 - 131 kWh 🔋) provides days of backup power for your home

other car brands have & will introduce similar functionality to their electric vehicles - but none as integrated and at the core of the offering as these two. Bidirectional charging becomes a key role in the story of these vehicles - powering different motives:
A German newspaper described the Ford F-150 backup power function spot on:

By powering tools & your house in case of power outages. This truck makes you more resilient.
