Travelling to Turkey
1.Pamukkale & Karahayıt
I continued my journey from Konya to southwestern Turkey & after 8hrs I reached #Pamukkale in Denizli Province. I visited strange white waterfall as a natural phenomenon & Hierapolis; an ancient Roman spa city founded about 190 B.C.1/3
#Hierapolis (or holly city) was completely destroyed by an earthquake in the year60 & was rebuilt in a Roman style around the year 100.Among the remains of the city, mostly, the cemetery with different kinds of graves impressed me deeply. I felt very old memories burying there.2/3
I spent the night in #Karahayit in the north of Pamukkale known for its rust-red hot mineral water. So Peaceful.
After this zone I moved on to Kuşadası, a beach resort town on Turkey’s western Aegean coast to visit ancient city of Ephesus & other cities. Will write about them.3/3
