THREAD: How Russia is trying to avoid the responsibility for #BuchaMassacre. We examined Russia's key manipulative narratives spread by the Kremlin across western social media. Here are some of their bogus messages 👇🏻

Russia blatantly lies that after 🇷🇺 troops retreated from #Bucha, the Ukrainian forces shelled the town, leading to civilian casualties. Analyzing this is meaningless, as the arms of the dead people were tied, and they were shot in their hearts, back of the head, and face.

"The photos and videos from #Bucha are similar to fake videos of the White Helmets from Syria." Here we see the efforts of Russian propaganda to shift the discourse from the Russian atrocities in Bucha to discussions around Serbia, Syria, and the "evil West."

One more fake: "How would you prove that the atrocities indeed took place?" #Bucha hosted numerous international media representatives, who filmed everything. Besides, Ukrainian and international investigators started documenting #RussianWarCrimes.

These and other bogus Russian stories on #BuchaMassacre are told with the only aim: to out-talk the tragedy, make the world doubt the crime took place, neutralize public resonance and international indignation, as it was in the case of the MH17 terroristic act. #StopRussia
