Travelling to Turkey 4. Kuşadası & Ephesus
I traveled from Pamukkale to #Kuşadası by bus about 3hrs. Kuşadası is the Turkish Aegean's most popular cruise ship port. The grand ruins of the dreamy ancient city of #Ephesus can be found about 18kilometers northeast from the town.1/3
#Ephesus (Efes) was built in the 10th century BC & the remains explain centuries of history from ancient Greece to the Roman Empire. The city was famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis(completed about 550BC). Among the monumental buildings, Library of Celsus impressed me more.2/3
I spent the nights in kuşadası. Night walkings along the beach were very relaxing. I tried pistachio Baklava(pastry) & potato Gozleme,a very delicious Turkish food.
After kuşadası,I moved on to Şirince village & also Alaçati village on my way to Istanbul. Will write about them.3/3
