7 unique ways to source profitable products to flip on Amazon and eBay

(Like this $5 baby powder selling for $70)

— Thread —
You've probably heard of:

• Keepa
• Brickseek
• Tactical arbitrage

Which are powerful tools for finding leads

But the purpose of this thread is to provide you with some out-of-box ways to find more products to flip.

Let's go
1) Reverse Sourcing

Search for a niche product on:

• Amazon
• Mercari
• eBay

Find the seller’s storefront to see their entire catalog of products.

Simply copy and paste their products into Google and see if you can find them elsewhere.

Unlimited amount of leads.
2) Search for Closeout or Discontinued tags

It's the first thing I look for in stores.

Closeouts are good indicators the product has been discontinued.

Not all closeout/discontinued items will be winners

But it's an easy way to narrow down the store's inventory.
3) Follow TikTok trends

Product recommendations by TikTokers can set off a frenzy as people hunt for that item.

Especially if it goes viral.

Create a dedicated account and start liking product videos to train the algorithm.

You'll have a timeline filled with popular products.
4) Hunt for ultra-rare versions

Goo Jit Zu toys are always coming out with a new series.

And there is always an “Ultra-Rare” version that's highly sought after.

Next time you’re in the toy section

Look for toys that have rare or ultra-rare in their series.
5) Join brand-related forums/pages

Loyal customers will express their frustration if they can no longer find their favorite products.

Use it to your advantage.

Check this one out:

They can longer find Old Spike Hawkridge deodorant.

(Go see how much a stick sells for on eBay)
6) Sign up for major brand’s newsletters.

Create a separate email address and simply sign up for newsletters.

Not only will you get additional offers/deals but you’ll also get product line updates

If a new product line is released, that could mean another line is discontinued.
7) Pay attention to what customers and employees are saying in the store.

Have you ever been shopping and hear:

“I can never find ___.”

“We don’t have ___ in stock right now.”

There’s your cue to research that item.

Just being attentive can result in big rewards.
Summary for finding profitable products to resell:

1) Reverse search storefronts
2) Read the store price tags
3) Follow TikTok trends
4) Look for ultra-rare toys
5) Join brand-related forums
6) Sign up for newsletters
7) Pay attention to in-store conversations

Happy hunting!

Slow sales on eBay?

Here's 10 ways to sell more products faster

— Thread — Image
1) Improve Photo Quality

It all starts with your pictures.

It's the first thing your potential buyers will see.

Keeping your background as clean and simple as possible is best practice.

Lightboxes are fantastic if you have the extra cash

But if not, here's what I do 👇
I have two pieces of white cardboard that I picked up from a craft store

White paper or tablecloth will also work!

After I take the picture from my iPhone, I'll increase the brightness as long it doesn't alter the color of the bottle.

Make a big difference right? ImageImage

I turned 30 this year.

Here are the 15 most important things I wish I’d known in my 20s

— Thread —
Spend more time with your parents and grandparents.

• Listen to their stories
• Make new memories
• Tell them you love them

You’ll wish you did when they’re gone.

The older I get, the more I realize how precious the time I spend with my parents is.
Pay off your student loans as fast as possible.

It takes time, hard work, and a whole lot of sacrifice.

But do whatever you have to do to pay them off.

Having no student loans completely changes the game when it comes to building long-term wealth.

Balancing a 9-to-5 with reselling isn't easy.

But last month I made an extra $1,845.

Here's how I did it and you can too.

— Thread —
The most important factor to your side hustle’s long-term success is:

Having a reason why you have one in the first place.

• Replace your 9-to-5?
• Eliminate debt?
• Retire early?

So whenever you feel overwhelmed

Remember why you started.

This is your fuel.
Set daily/weekly goals.

My personal (minimum) goals are:

• 1 FBA shipment per week
• 1 eBay/FBM listing per day
• 1 sourcing trip per week

It's no good spending three hours one week and then nothing for the next month.

The key is having a sustainable, consistent baseline.

I'm 7 years sober.

Alcohol was always holding me back.

Here’s what I’ve learned

A thread
Time’s true value is spending it with people and experiences that matter.

Alcohol put me in situations that didn’t.

Drinking was boring.

Conversations were dull.

People really aren’t listening to you

And what they do hear, they won't remember.

It wasn't worth it to me.
The money snowball effect.

It’s more than spending money on alcohol.

It’s also the Uber to and from the bar

Processed food at the end of the night

You don’t realize how much you save when you stop

Is your hard earned money worth an experience you’ll vaguely remember?

So you want to start reselling but don’t know how to create your first eBay listing

This is a thread for you.
Let’s list this product I found at a locally-owned pharmacy.

I purchased these Luden's Melatonin Soothers for $3.59 per bag.

And plan to sell for $19.99 per bag.

Let’s begin.
Before purchasing any product I plan to resell, I always check the eBay sold listings to ensure I can make a profit.

Here’s how:
- Type in the name or scan the UPC
- Select: Filter
- Select: Show more
- Turn on Completed items
- Turn on Sold items
- Select: Show Results

7 of my WORST flipping mistakes

(and how you can learn from them)

// THREAD //
Mistakes happen in the arbitrage business

Its a part of the game

But my goal is to show you my key mistakes over the years

So you can learn without having to make the same ones

Oh, and after reading this you may be surprised that it's true...

I'm no guru

Ha

Let's begin 👇
1. Using too much filter

Let’s take a look at this J&J baby lotion

When I used the “vivid cool” filter

It makes the bottle look white when in reality its pink which made it look like a different lotion

This resulted in a lovely refund

Lesson: Dont go overboard on the filters ImageImage
