I’m begging people to watch and share this exchange between two of the finest Public Servants serving the American people in the United States Congress. This is the choice. It is as simple as @RepRaskin and @RepLizCheney have laid out.

5/ true in marriage, friendship, business associations and the list goes on. We live in a sprawling and fractious Republic of 330 million souls. We are a people made up of all of the peoples of the world. We live in a land where every language of the Earth is spoken every day.

6/ Upon this Continent, in a land of breathtaking beauty an American civilization has risen. It is not rooted in race, creed, religion or blood claims to soil. It is an idea and a promise. It is a hope. Our nation is made up of all the peoples of the world. We are a government of

7/ the people, by the people, for the people. We are a nation filled with humanities greatest virtues and all the genius of mankind. Similarly we are filled with all of humanities vices and all of its evil. They coexist but they do not stand equally in America. In this country,

8/ it is the evil that has yielded to the righteous time and time again. Together this nation has fed more people, clothed more people, cured more people, and liberated more people from the yokes of tyranny and slavery than all of the other countries of the world put together

8/ since the beginning of time. That is why we are an exceptional nation. @RepLizCheney and @RepRaskin are exceptional leaders and it is OK to admire someone without agreeing with them on tax policy. These jobs require serious people of good faith and good will who have

9/ wisdom, judiciousness, intellect and the humility to listen to people that they disagree with. Maybe one of the things a lot of people should ponder is this. It’s a lot easier to jeer the certifiable than it is to support the believers. The former is a much easier lift.
