ICYMI: Over the past 72 hours, @ChicagoThinker student journalists eviscerated the mainstream media at @UChiPolitics Disinformation Conference
🚨THREAD🚨
Seeking to bolster a familiar narrative, @DavidAxelrod, former senior advisor to President Obama, convened a conference at @UChicago ironically titled, “Disinformation And The Erosion Of Democracy.”
Axelrod invited a collection of all-stars from big media, big government, and big academia. Expecting a cozy echo chamber for the same hackneyed narratives they push as a profession, participants were woefully unprepared for what they encountered: students who think critically.
On the first day of the conference, notable warmongering globalist @anneapplebaum was asked about Hunter Biden's laptop by @RealDSchmidt.
She responded by calling the laptop "totally irrelevant" and saying "I don't find it to be interesting."
On the next day of #Disinfo2022, @JonahDispatch pompously rejected the notion that Hunter Biden's laptop had any effect on the 2020 election, called @RealDSchmidt a "kid", and made a bizarre analogy to water bottles and polar bears.
Then, @chrispthetruth confronted a mysteriously tan @brianstelter, reciting examples of @CNN's false reporting, asking whether it was merely a coincidence that these errors all supported the liberal narrative.
Lastly, the irony came full circle. @JeffreyGoldberg accused the Thinker's students of spreading disinformation about the conference itself, while David Axelrod helplessly looked on, probably wishing he never held #Disinfo2022.
@anneapplebaum blocked me and @ThinkerChicago after we exposed her as as one of the biggest purveyors of disinformation at #Disinfo2022. What are you afraid of Anne?
