Number 37 sits in Genesis 1:1, of which gematria 2701 (= 37 x 73) dicovered for maybe only 30 years ago , Richard Amiel McGough claiming he was the one to find , but in the same time also found by others (Vernon Jenkins), Christians who looked for proof of Jesus' divinity
However it be, since the beginning of time (that the Torah was written) Genesis 1:1 has shown the same 2701
That gematria should be invented only around the beginning of Christian era, or even later, is not true , since Genesis 14:14 mentions the gematria of the name Eliezer
Genesis 14 being about the war, "mother of all wars", where Abram gained victory over the four kings with help of his 318 trained servants, after the Hagadah shel Pesach in the middle of the night of Passover
So that makes plausible:
"besorah" = gospel, (good) tidings
from the root "basar"= flesh
is related to "milchamah" = war
from the root "lechem" = bread
Even to the "mother of all wars", of Genesis 14, where Melchizedek brought out bread and wine jewishlink.news/divrei-torah/1…

By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread

also in Luke 1:38
and I bet it builds on Deuteronomy 8 cited in Matthew 4:4,
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
John 1:15,
Ἰωάννης μαρτυρεῖ περὶ αὐτοῦ (= the word that became flesh)
Οὗτος ἦν also in John 1:2,
cf. Rashi on Genesis 1:1
in the beginning it was his intention to create it with the standard of justice, but he perceived that the world would not endure; so he preceded it with the standard of mercy, allying it with the standard of justice
