Why having a pulse oximeter is so important if you get sick. You can get one on Amazon or drug store.
Lots of contraindications and drug interactions with Paxlovid. Even if you can qualify or get it prescribed, you may not be able to take it. Here's detailed info:

Bottom line: TALK TO YOUR DOCTORS. Show them the FDA Paxlovid sheet. I'm hearing from people that some of their doctors don't know the contraindications & drug interactions, and others here are downplaying and dismissing the FDA info. Twitter is not a health care provider. ❤🙏

Possibly relevant re: increased DVT post-Covid infection. Hat-tip @reverseyourmind

This is your one-tweet answer to Covid deniers, minimizers and folks who have been misinformed: a mega thread of threads on the many ways SarsCov2 damages the body, even in mild infections.
Looking for potential ways to possibly (hopefully!?) improve/heal endothelial damage after Covid. I'll include this here in case it becomes relevant piece of the puzzle:

Caveat emptor (and talk to your doctor before adding any supplement or herb!) but I'm hearing a lot of folks talk about this:

"there is speculation that many of these COVID 'long haulers' will end up with permanent damage to many body organs, including their lungs, brains, kidneys, intestines, hearts and blood vessels...."
orthomolecular.org/resources/omns…
"If conventional medicine has no solution, perhaps functional medicine can find the root cause of this cellular damage and find natural strategies to address them. Some very promising treatment options can be combined into a COVID cellular repair protocol."
"The initial step in this examination of possible solutions should consider that cellular damage usually occurs in stages. This helps to explain how cellular healing is possible."

Olive leaf "secoiridoid (oleuropein and its metabolite hydroxytyrosol), triterpenes (oleanolic, ursolic, and maslinic acids), and flavonoids (luteolin and kaempferol) exhibited in silico, in vitro, or in vivo antiviral activities against SARS-CoV-2."

"...Apart from the antiviral properties, these bioactive compounds significantly modulated several signaling pathways and demonstrated various activities such as anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic, immunomodulatory, and antithrombotic properties..."
"...These compounds provide a potential natural source to control the cytokine storms observed during COVID-19 infection, manage the symptoms, and protect against complications."

If you're finding more and more paywall articles now, may I suggest getting a public library card! Most libraries offer a free way to access most of the popular newspapers and magazines via library passes or reader apps. (I'm a library nerd. I have 7 local SoCal library cards.)
And Los Angeles pals, the @LAPublicLibrary card truly is the best card in my wallet. I think you can still apply online. 🙏❤️📚🗞️📰
And fellow film nerds: most libraries include @Kanopy as a perk -- which is a free Criterion/world cinema/arthouse/indie dream! 📽️🎞️❤️🙏

Two more people I know sick with Covid. Both on statins and one on BP Med so neither can get Paxlovid. Neither knew this was an issue. Both on day 4 & 5 of symptoms & no time to switch/stop drugs, plus concern from Dr. about blood pressure issues due to Covid.
They are a couple and assumed that test and treat meant if testing positive boom you take something like Tamiflu.
Also first tests were negative — is the a trait of the new variant?

Starting thread on Covid and its effect in autoimmune diseases:
"There is growing evidence that COVID-19 can lead to a dysregulation of the immune system with the development of autoimmune phenomena...immune dysregulation ranges from the production of autoantibodies to the onset of rheumatic autoimmune disease."

"So far, COVID-19 infections are linked to these different autoimmune conditions:
Guillain-Barre syndrome
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
Autoimmune hemolytic anemia
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C)
Diabetes"
