@TEDTalks@elonmusk Musk calls Twitter a "de facto town square," saying he believes it is "really important that people have both the reality and the perception that they're able to speak freely within the bounds of the law."
@TEDTalks@elonmusk Musk: "One of the things that I believe Twitter should do is open source the algorithm, and make any changes to people's tweets or – if they're emphasized or de-emphasized – that action should be made apparent."
@TEDTalks@elonmusk Musk: "If in doubt, let the speech exist ... if it's a grey area, let the tweet exist."
@TEDTalks@elonmusk Musk: "It's very important that the algorithm be open sourced and that any manual adjustments be identified."
"I wouldn't personally be in there editing tweets."
@TEDTalks Musk: "A top priority I would have is eliminating the spammers and spam bots and armies that are on Twitter."
"If I had a dogecoin for every crypto scam I saw..."
@TEDTalks Musk: "I'm tweeting more or less stream of consciousness."
"I'm, like, literally on the toilet or something like: 'Oh, this is funny' and then tweet that out. That's it."
I just want Twitter to prioritize TweetDeck, which is severely underrated and neglected.
TweetDeck used to be real-time, but one day that changed and now tweets populate as much as a 60 seconds slower than the mobile app. So frustrating for what could be such a powerful tool.
I genuinely don't know how people use the browser-version of Twitter. It's so limited.
