1/ We obviously like to joke around here on twitter dot com. However with Staking almost upon us, it feels like a good time to get serious for a minute. Let's talk about why #Dexalot is here, where we’re going, and what will be special about our Staking experience.🧵

2/ #Dexalot made significant strides in its viability tests of its central limit order book on the Avalanche C-Chain. The interest in a well-functioning order book has been strong. The main holdup for exponential growth thus far has been a high gas fee environment.

3/ We’ve all experienced that high gas fee environment on the C-Chain and reduced transactional speeds when gas is high. This was anticipated from the onset, but the explosive growth of the Avalanche network made them arrive months earlier than expected.

4/ BUT, this adverse outcome has also been a catalyst- spurring an incredible amount of interest in Avalanche’s subnet technology among the ecosystem projects under Ava Labs’ leadership. The initial priority is to get the high transaction GameFi projects into their own subnets.

5/ #Dexalot is poised to be in the second wave as one of the earliest DeFi projects that will go into its own subnet aiming to be operational in the next 2-3 months.

6/ A key consideration for bootstrapping the #Dexalot Subnet will be creating incentives for validators that will help secure the subnet, as well as traders that will create the volume. Dexalot Subnet will start with a mixture of nodes run by its foundation and select individuals

7/ #Dexalot will start the selection process of our validators by introducing a staking feature on the Avalanche C-Chain called “Stake to the Subnet.” This will give two distinct options to its users.

8/ For option one, you will receive a smaller incentive with your stake, but you’re additionally offered the opportunity to share in future fee revenue. Option two contains a higher predictable incentive, but a lower chance of being selected.

9/ With both options, users are expected to stake for at least two months & earn rewards on c-chain. Those who stake more and for longer periods will have improved rankings on the priority list for validators, created by those participating in one of our two options.

11/The Dexalot team is working on a more sophisticated and innovative staking mechanism. Never before seen in crypto or elsewhere, this mechanism will replace the above staking contracts on the subnet for ALOT tokens to incentivize trading volume and liquidity on the order book.
