and through 1,800 inhabitant village of Kammlach with its 1910 founded cheese dairy. 100 employees produce brand St. Mang soft cheeses especially Limburger & Romadur only from local milk. Cheese rescued this very poor region in late 19thC. #CarlHirnbein 1807-1871

10 min stop in Mindelheim turned into nightmare, almost hilarious. At one point tied Luna up to hospital A&E entrance, then got call from breakdown service they had arrived, dashed out down streets to car (not mine) to then remember Luna! So was late & took autobahn home

...see how quiet roads & autobahns are? No stress, few speeding idiots (which there are & you need to be awake when one comes from behind at 300kmh).
You have to love Google Maps Betty & her German pronunciation. I'm memorised by her even if only understand ½of what she says

Does help HGVs are banned from autobahns & indeed all roads from midnight Saturday till 22:00 on Sundays & public hols. So most drivers had by now found parking places for next 24 hours. For whole of July & August, ban also on Saturdays from 7:00 to 20:00 (holiday peak)!
