There are 3 pillars that I view as critical for 'crypto for masses' and most of my investments have been in these 3 areas. @railgun_project fits firmly in the 3rd bucket
What does this mean? Current privacy solutions require you to jump through hoops. Bridging opens up risk vectors, complex mixers, do not support NFTs, etc
$rail allows you to interact natively with DeFi + NFTs, think 'incognito mode' 🧠
/ architecture
From a product architecture standpoint, it's designed to be middleware, offering businesses an SDK to integrate into existing workflows.
B2B integrations are high retention when done right. You see this in web2 with tools like stripe, salesforce, slack, etc
/ use-case possibilities
A few examples of possibilities that will likely be realities
🔹 wallets using incognito mode
🔹 mining/staking to wallet
🔹 DeFi offering 'privacy' native options
🔹 trading (institutional and retail)
🔹 nft privacy
All via $rail privacy SDK tools
/ investors
Apparently @BarrySilbert and his @DCGco took notice and investing $10m will be $RAIL's first and best customer.
Integrating $rail into internal workflows, while also using it and introducing counter-parties as well
↔️ multi-chain support
💰income in non-native tkns (.25% deposits / withdrawals) scales
✅ interact with DeFi, NFTs normally
🧐 $10m+ from anon investor to be revealed. First and best customer
$rail income will depend on weekly volume, stake ratio, fee rate, token count.
v1 launches soon, so in the med term, *if* it can capture $1b weekly volume (1% of DeFi vol), at it's current stake rate is 86% apr on $3.50 $rail. $22k annual on 10k tkn investment.
/ total addressable market
That's just tip of the iceberg though. The TAM for privacy is in the trillions, as most transactions in the future will likely be *private* by default vs *public* by default like it is now.
You don't want ppl knowing your net worth when buying coffee
/ product adjacencies
And the current v1 is just the base network layer for @railgun_project. If it does fulfill it's promise as the *privacy middleware* layer, we will likely see privacy solutions like swaps, accounting, and other apps built on top for further potential
/ resources
Hopefully this gives you a small view into @railgun_project . If you're intrigued, here are a few resources to do your own diligence

A community analytics dashboard was built to visualize adoption and fees. Keep in mind we are still in beta and my models earlier are based on projections, not current.
🔹 $LUNA bullish, $UST peg and demand 📈
🔹 $FXS bullish, $FRAX demand 📈
🔹 $BTRFLY bullish, $UST to farm $ASTRO
🔹 $CVX 👑 maker - ULTRA bullish because top DAOs mentioned have 5%, and not all $CRV votes.

A #LUNAtic since early 2021. @terra_money is my highest conviction bet on my thesis around growth and utility of stable coins in crypto. With $UST as it’s core product, it’s the perfect blend of GTM strategy, product, design, team, community, investors.
@CurveFinance is a stable swap AMM and one of its core products is 3pool which is a combo of USDT USDC DAI since the early days

@CurveFinance is not just cheap swaps, it’s critical function is as a “stability schelling point” serving as a peg stability manager of sorts as @samkazemian points out
