DA Usec. Ariel Cayanan on damage brought by Agaton: Nagkaroon ng total damage na ₱725.2M. Ang total volume loss ay 41,580 metric tons. Ang tinamaan na area ay 17,925 hectares. 19,424 farmers are affected.

DA Usec. Cayanan: Affected regions’ rice area are those in Region 6, 8, 9, 12, and 13, including Antique, Guimaras, and Iloilo, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Zamboanga City and Zamboanga Sibugay, North and South Cotabato, Sarangani, Agusan del Norte and del Sur

In terms of financial (support), DA Usec. Cayanan said they have the Sure Aid Program, the survival and recovery program that can be availed through the Agricultural Credit Policy Council.
