Every day, a new crisis trends. Some of us canโt keep up.
I feel itโs important I comment about this issue for a few reasons:
1.Why I took
my kids out of Chrisland,
2.Primary school children having sex which isnโt new, is now a schoolโs fault?
3.Who is responsible?
When people take to social media condemning schools and parents, itโs good to look inwards, and take lessons to prevent what can happen ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ!
Why did I take my children from Chrisland?
I took my kids out of Chrisland about 10yrs ago, as you can guess they are way past that level now. I saw a few signs, added them together and decided to remove them.
The truth however is that these challenges are not exclusively Chrislandโs, they are the problems of many schools. I am not throwing stones or shades at Chrisland exclusively, you can judge for yourself.
Three reasons:
1.Playing loud music at childrenโs events. There seems to be no censorship on what music to play and what not to play where kids are present. My wife went for the kiddies event and couldnโt contain her irritation.
She spoke up about it, and the head teacher replied that she should allow the children to have fun. A few parents also backed the head teacher up. That was strike 1!
If you go for your childrenโs prize giving day, or any other event , and they are singing - โThis miliki for your front na for me, go down on meโฆโ, and you are dancing and singing along, you and your childrenโs school are really working towards something.
2.One day went for open day to see my Childrenโs teachers and basically check up on my children. As I walked into the class and sat with the Teacher, we talked about a variety of things, but one thing struck me:
โข The teacher congratulated me and told me for what I was doing to help my daughter understand maths better. This was clearly a compliment, but I felt a little offended. The reason being, the teacher knew that I was the reason she was improving in maths and not their teaching.
I wondered what I was paying so much for!!
My wife was armed with point 1, I was armed with point 2. When we closed the session of primary 3 and my son was about to move to primary 1. 3. We evaluated their fees, and the efforts that we were putting in to teach at home ourselves
and decided we were paying too much for the service and values that was being offered. We reasoned that if we knew we were not paying much, we would pay more attention to our kids. So, we decided to move them to a very disciplined catholic primary school not far from the house.
It was one of the best decisions we made, my daughter had 3 years to go, and my son had 6 years to go. It prepared them well.
Primary school children and sex -
Whether itโs naivety or hypocrisy.
I donโt know why weโre suddenly discovering sex happens with very underaged kids!
Some children become conscious and active from as low as primary 1.
I attended University of Ilorin Primary school over 30 years ago. I went to school every morning in a bus provided by Federal Government College Ilorin, as there was where my parents worked.
Going to school every morning was always a 1hr 45 mins journey from Ogidi to the University. We drop off about 5 other schools before getting to Universityโs permanent site where my school was.
These near two hours every morning was spent, playing, fighting and jisting.
Some of the jist I canโt seem to ever forget, with the names of the students involved were stories of primary school students having sex with each other. One of the boys was in the bus with us, and he would boast of his many escapades.
This was a time before social media, but the descriptions were graphic and our imaginations more potent than mobile phones. I can still remember the names and surnames.
People become sexually active at different ages, and for lack of parental attention.
All it takes is for one exposed person to freely interact with unexposed people, and the virus spreads. For some is the curious mind, for others itโs stumbling on uncles and aunties either doing something or watching something. For some itโs abuse.
I recall in primary 2 having a spinster teacher weโll call Miss AJ, to protect her privacy. Every time Mr. AK came to visit her in class, they would go to an enclosed room at the back. And the primary 2, boys would eaves drop to see if anything was going on.
30 years ago, children had access to โlolly and Dauda the sexy guyโ. Today itโs worse! TikTok and Twitter regularly feature phonographic content. Their quantity and quality of bad eggs is on the increase, if yours miss it, itโs because as a parent you are intentional and involved
Please calling what transpired between those children โrapeโ is attempting to call a dog a bad name in other to kill it. Chrisland has faults similar to many other schools. Letโs apportion the blame fairly.
Who is Responsible??
An old African proverb says it takes a village to raise a child.
Training children is partnership between the Parents. the School and the society they live in.
The report card that just came out now is the results of parents and the school. My conjecture is that something has messed up these kids at home way before school. School has become a conducive environment for enabling the mixing of bad eggs and blank eggs.
Homes and schools ought to be a controlled environment, where children are shielded from some of the things that society offers. Society sings lewd songs with reckless abandon; the media is bursting with inappropriate age sensitive information that is uncensored.

Politics for many people is a 4-4 years enterprise. We get busy with life for 4 years, then come back again to social media to gyrate just before the elections.
As a voter, thatโs not a bad place to be if you have your voting card and know your polling unit, as a participant and player, thatโs not the place to be. If you want to harvest during political seasons, you need to plant well before the season.
Energy is wasted during the political seasons, hating friends, arguing with colleagues and wasting time on divisions orchestrated by people who aren't divided themselves. Some of the people who make you stand against your brother or sister are sitting together and laughing over
#MoneyMonday ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง Albert Einstein is said to have said that the greatest creation of man is compound interest. While this is a rumour, it maybe worth exploring why compound interest can even be seen as this valuable.
Albert Einstein to the people who quote that:
Why is compound interest so great? 1. It ensures that in time, even the poorest person in the world can create wealth for generations yet unborn. $1 put into fixed deposit at 5% interest, will become a million dollars one day.
Wrongly accused and incarcerated for 37 years to singing on the world stage in front of over 8million viewers.
That is the story of Archie Williams, one of the contestants at the 2020 edition of American got talent...
In 1982, a white woman was raped and stabbed in her home, and Archie was arrested on the 4th of January 1983 as the main suspect.
He would later be arraigned and sentenced to 80 years in prison for a crime he knew nothing of with a fingerprint that wasn't his as the only evidence
Fast forward to 37 years later, He was set free after the case was reopened and a test carried out on the bloody fingerprint that was found at the scene of the crime.
While in jail, Archie watched the American got talent show and always dreamed of being on that stage.
HOW TO TRANSFER THE MONEY IN YOUR HEAD INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
Have you ever been in the bathroom, broke and reflecting on your life when suddenly an amazing idea pops in your head?
/1
Or you have thought of the possibility of becoming financially free if only you could transfer all the money in your head to your bank account.
If you have been in this position then you are not alone.
/2
Now, the main question you are asking is How can I transfer this money in my head, this intangible million-dollar idea into money in my account that I can use on whatever I need?
/3
Should I relocate from Nigeria? What do you advice?
Well this depends on where you are and what your goals and dreams are. This is not really a one answer fits all type of question, if you were my friend, brother or sister, I would look at some factors to advice you.
/1
I would however advice you to take a view of the world that blurs the lines between countries, the world is currently a global village. Technology has shrunk the world significantly and we can work for anywhere from anywhere.
/2
I will ask you to Relocate from Nigeria for the following reasons:
1. If you are frustrated about Nigeria and find it easy to see the things that are not working and itโs gradually getting you depressed. Relocate if you can; as no country is worth losing your sanity over.
