🗣 8 threads below… Providing you the blueprint of the Princeton offense & the exact steps to installing it…
1️⃣ - Point
• Point (split action) is the foundation of the Princeton offense. It’s the most commonly action used within the offense.
2️⃣ - Handoff Point
• The handoff triggers false movement within the offense. It forces the defense to move and creates confusion before entering into Point (split action).
3️⃣ - Wing Entry
• Many options can be utilized out of wing entry. This is a primary way to start the offense. The spacing allows a back cut opportunity from the top.
4️⃣ - Low Post
• Entering the ball to the low post is crucial to running the Princeton offense successfully. The pass into the post triggers split action or a back cut.
5️⃣ - Return (Spin back)
• Return, is the first option if the offense can’t go in to Point. The ball will “return” back to its same side, which triggers a back cut from the wing.
6️⃣ - Jungle
• If the back cut isn’t open on Return, the system will flow into Jungle action. Jungle, is simply Point but on the side. (Again, everything flows back into split action).
7️⃣ - Chin
• This action is a counter of Point. Start the 5 man high at the elbow and set a back screen when the ball is reversed. This will flow into Point, which flows into Jungle - THIS IS THE REASON CHIN SHOULD BE TAUGHT LAST (my opinion).
8️⃣ - Princeton 28 Day Challenge
• I’ve created the ultimate Princeton course. A done-for-you program that will have your team executing the Princeton system in 28 days or less. It’s the Princeton On Steroids system.
