The People’s Convoy (TPC) is having their morning mtg at 7:30a and is planning on departing at 8:30am. This is my thread for Tuesday 4/19. Here is a thread with the schedule for the day, as far as I know. (repost b/c typo.) 1 of n
I anticipate that I’ll be covering the anti-choicers as well as TPC, as there is significant overlap. Both groups worry me today. TBH the only reason I bother to tweet this stuff live instead of an evening summary is b/c I hope the real-time info helps locals stay safe. 2 of n
If you want to get an idea of how yesterday went, here is Monday’s thread. Do not get complacent, Monday was intended to be a small, quiet day. Thread also includes tweets from other folks who are tracking the convoys if you want a broader view. 3 of n
FYI to all who are new to convoy watch- TPC seldom starts anything on time. There are zero live streams of the morning mtg (scheduled to start 22 minutes ago) & the convoy streams almost everything. It's possible they suddenly care about opsec, but more likely are late. 4 of n
Ok I've got a stream, they're just running late (as usual). Another piece of into for those who are new to convoy watching (I know some Cali folks recently tuned in b/c it's local for them now)- there are several children here at TPC's camp site. 5 of n
Meeting was short. Xray says that they are leaving at 8:30am PT, reminder to bring snacks and water to the capitol. Someone asked if there would be parking for the trucks. X-ray- "We've got people down there right now securing parking for us." 6 of n

More calls for lynching from a member of the convoy- "It's a shame that lynching isn't legal anymore."

It's too early in for this. It's never a good time to listen to people call for lynching politicians, but it's worse this early. 7 of n youtube.com/clip/UgkxpumaH…
Convoy is rolling out of the raceway. It is 9:04 am PT. I counted 16 bobtails (semis with no trailers). It is about a 30 minute drive to the capitol in Sacramento. Convoy is being told not to use their horns until they hit 16th (Street? I assume) in Sacramento. 8 of n
The streamer I'm following is the one who bought the train horns yesterday. He purchased 5, and said he hooked up 4 of them- I believe one on his truck and 3 on others. This is in response to the convoy being told not to blare their horns yesterday. 9 of n
As I watch all these big trucks heading toward the CA capitol in Sacramento, I'm also remembering how much damage a single truck and a few extremists can (and did) do 27 years ago. The convoy's calls for violence are worrisome. 10 of n
Convoy just got on US-50 W and will take that til they hit 16th Street in Sacramento. Then they'll likely make loops around the capitol building/area as they did yesterday, and use their extra loud horns to make everyone miserable. 11 of n
Front end of the convoy (big trucks in front, cars and smaller vehicles in the rear) is taking the 16th St exit now. A convoyer just mentioned over the CB that their 14 year old kid is in the car/truck with them. I'd hoped they would leave the kids at camp, guess not. 12 of n
It is loud. I'm not focusing on giving an exact location for the convoy b/c they're so very loud. They appear to be doing laps around the capitol (again). I saw a few protestors on the street w/ signs, unsure if they are convoy fans, anti-choicers, or counter-protestors. 13 of n
A streamer (someone who has been in Sacramento for an hour or so) climbed up on the convoy's FAFO fire truck as it laps the capitol in Sacramento. 14 of n youtube.com/clip/UgkxW5rZL…
There are definitely convoy supporters here, others are anti-choicers. I think this banner is on the corner of 10th and N, but I don't have the best eyes so corrections are welcome. Some of the truck are parking on 10th. They are STILL honking. 15 of n a street corner in Sacramento on April 19, 2022. A bright yeanti-choice protestors line the street as the people's convo
It's now 10:25 am in Sacramento. Much of the convoy is parked. The trucks are parked on 10th Street between L & N St (the right hand side on a 1 way street, I think it's the east side of the st). The anti-choice press conf begins at 11am on the south side of grounds. 16 of n
A reminder to everyone reading: AB 2223 is designed to protect people from things like what happened to Lizelle Herrera in Texas. . It does not legalize infanticide or do any of the extreme stuff the anti-choicers claim. 17 of n
These are a few crowd shots (from live streams) of the anti-choice rally in Sacramento, all taken in the 15 minutes. It's not as small as I'd like and not as big as I'd feared. The rhetoric is standard anti-choice lies, with a generous side of "do what we want or else." 18 of n
The convoy rally is setting up on the North side- few ppl b/c most of them are at the anti-choice rally on the South side, they'll likely move over soon. There's also a rumor going around that ppl are being blocked from going into the health cmte mtg. People are mad. 19 of n
It's 12:02 pm Pacific and the convoy anti-vaxx rally is beginning. So far it looks like there are fewer attendees than at the anti-choice rally, but more ppl will likely join as they hear the sound of people speaking and shouting freedom. (ugh) 20 of n
Rally continues, standard start of prayer, nat'l anthem, pledge, etc. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating on telegram that people aren't being allowed into the capitol. I heard the same thing on a stream. Unclear if it is true, but convoyers are mad. 21 of n
I'm not covering the content of the anti-vaxx rally, it's all standard (and incorrect) stuff with calls for violence scattered through it. However, I did see something new and unusual (to me)- a bald eagle head on top of a flag pole. 22 of n
Good thread with more details (and pictures!) of the various protests happening around the the capitol building in Sac today. Anti-vaxx rally is still going, the usual disinfo. I'm going to be listening to the health cmte hearing too at 1:30p. 23 of n
TPC rally update- Chucky is speaking now. Chucky has often made calls for and threats of violence, and he's sticking to his usual style today, saying "I'd have hung her in the street right then." 24 of n youtube.com/clip/Ugkx9K-Wx…
The convoy rally is over, wrapped up by people yelling "freedom". It's 2:30pm PT. Unclear when the convoy plans to depart. The next thing on my schedule of "sh*t that might go badly today" is the 4pm health committee hearing for AB 2223 & the AB 2223 press conf after it. 25 of n
The Health Committee hearing for AB 2223 is scheduled to begin at 4pm PT, and there is another AB 2223 related "press conference" after. Convoy rumors say the cmte mtg is a closed session (physically), may or may not be true. I'm watching online. 26 of n
It's 4pm PT, the health committee is about to begin discussing and taking testimony on AB 2223. Assemblymember Buffy Wicks will speak first, she is the lead author of the bill. If you'd like to follow along at home, you can do so online here. 27 of n
assembly.ca.gov/media/1100-vid…
Outside the capitol, the convoy is blaring their horns. Again. The convoy's firetruck makes the noise harder to cope with, imo, b/c I'm never sure if the sound of sirens are a legit emergency services vehicle trying to get through or just TPC being loud. Again. 28 of n
Ugh, the first speaker against AB 2223 is Pastor Jack Hibbs. He's one of the pastors who organized this morning's anti-choice lobbying training and anti-choice press conference. He quoted the bible and had no logical arguments against the bill. 29 of n
Now there's a public input thing where people walk up to the mic, say the group they're affiliated with (if any), and say if they support or oppose the bill. There's a lot of anti-choicers here, some say "the people's convoy" as their affiliation. 30 of n
The convoy is pulling out of their parking area and is doing a lap of the capitol. Their horns are still blaring. The line of people giving input on AB 2223 continues. Most of them seem to go to Calvary Chapel Chino Hills or Destiny Church. 31 of n
Most (possibly all) of the big trucks associated with TPC have departed the vicinity of the capitol, a few ppl are still in the AB 2223 hearing. They are still honking, went over a big yellow bridge (tower bridge?) a bit ago, & just passed Silvey's Motel in West Sac. 32 of n
I don't actually know why TPC is going that direction, the race track is the opposite direction. The Health cmte voted 5 to 3 for on AB 2223, now CB chatter is discussing going back to the capitol & blocking people in. They're furious. Please be careful if you are in Sac. 33 of n
According to CB chatter, convoy is circling around Franklin D Roosevelt Park and end up at 10th and O. Some are driving down trolley tracks. Also Chucky got hit by a car b/c Chucky was out trying to block traffic for the trucks and someone is chasing that vehicle? 34 of n
CB chatter "block the trolley, block the exits, don't let them out of the building." I'm not sure where this is, but it's where at least some of the truck are. 35 of n
Trucks are stacking up wherever this is. The front of the yellow truck you see here is the yellow truck in the previous image. An additional line (or two) of convoy vehicles backed into the street to block things off. 36 of n
Huh, they're moving again. Now they are parking legally around the capitol, and leaving room for emergency vehicles and not blocking entrances. They "plan to stay here for days." CB chatter says supplies are coming. New location is here in pic. 37 of n
Convoy says they're at Capitol Mall & 10th Street, that looks right to me. They're planning on having a convoy meeting at 7pm (or 7:30p) tonight- sounds like they're waiting for Xray to get back. Some trucks might also be on 11th St. It's all a little chaotic folks. 38 of n
This is the main spot for the vehicles nearest the capitol, there are other spots. They're parked mostly legally & will prolly get away with a lot if they don't block traffic or emergency vehicles. The streamers are asking for reinforcements to show up. This is worrying. 39 of n
Some members of the convoy are harassing legislators as they leave. I'm not even sure if those 2 are on the health committee.

For those who have been asking about who is funding the clownvoy, the info I have is in the thread below. 40 of n
The trucks that were on 11th are now moving to 10th. Grey wolf, the Gs, & at least one more semi. Possibly other vehicles, those are just the ones I noticed. I'm glad they're moving, their location on 11th was next to an encampment- those folks don't need the convoy's BS. 41 of n
The convoy is quiet right now, but more of a "waiting for action" quiet than a "calming down for the night" quiet. I think this shot is of a meeting but I can't say for sure. Usually they stream their meetings live so this could be something else. 42 of n
The convoy thought the bill was killed. They celebrated. I wasn't sure and couldn't find confirmation. They were wrong, AB 2223 passed out of committee and moves on to the next step. This is a good bill that will protect pregnant people, I'm happy. 43 of n
The convoy is rolling out & going back to their camp at Sacramento Raceway. Their logic is "AB 2223 is moving forward (out of committee) so there's nothing left for us to do here tonight." Unclear if all vehicles are leaving, but all the semis have. Blowing their horns. 44 of n
There will be an operational mtg (tomorrow?) of TPC organizers to decide next steps. They all seem a bit deflated- they were excited to go back & block traffic, then excited b/c they thought they got their way on AB 2223, but they lost on AB 2223 & are going back to camp. 45 of n
@LCRWnews convoy gave up on Sacramento and is going back to camp. lol. details in the tweets above
The convoy just arrived back at the raceway so I’m closing today’s Sacramento protest tracking thread. There will likely be other convoy updates tonight but they'll be separate threads. Thanks to everyone that sent tips & info today for #convoywatch, it helped a lot. 46/46, end🧵

Here’s the schedule (as far as I know it) for the protests in Sacramento on Tuesday 4/19.

At 9am some of the anti-choicers are having a "learn to lobby" event at the Hyatt, then an 11am “press conference” on the South side of the capitol. 1 of 5
TPC- Some (many?) convoyers will likely attend the anti-choice event. Most of them hate AB 2223.

The convoy’s big anti-vaxx rally starts at 12 noon Tuesday on the North Side of the capitol, and their permit starts at 8am. Arrival time is TBA. 2 of 5
At 4pm, the Committee on Health is hearing testimony about AB 2223. Members of the public are allowed to attend or listen remotely.

Chucky, the California convoyer who arranged the convoy’s permits (he's in the clip below) says he plans to attend. 3 of 5

According to TPC's website, they will be moving to (and staying at) Sacramento Raceway Park this evening. It's a 60-90 minute drive from Marysville where they are right now, depending on the route.

The Raceway Park is about a half hour drive from the capitol. #convoywatch Screenshot of ThePeoplesConvoy.org website 4/19/22 Sacrame

This is the site. Porta potties, lots of space, and a racetrack off in the distance. I'm sure TPC will feel right at home. #convoywatch 6 porta potties are in the middle of a dirt and grass field.

🧵TPC is having morn mtg & plan to depart at 8am PT (11am ET). This is my thread for 4/18.

As usual their departure is not happening on time, the livestream just announced they'll be leaving in a half hour which is 8:30 ET. Google maps says it is about a 45 minute drive to the capitol. TPC may be doing some laps upon arrival. 2 of n
Their current plan is to go to Sacramento this morning to protest at the capitol. When they are done they will return to the Marysville parking lot, pack up their stuff, and move to a new spot where they will be camping all week. The new location was not announced. 3 of n

Cali convoy update- one of the local groups I've been keeping an eye on is the Unified Americans Convoy of California, run by Chuckyz Chopshop. Their convoy was supposed to kick off yesterday. It did not go well. 🧵 1 of n Screenshot of a comment on the Unified Americans Convoy of C
I don't follow most of the smaller convoys (I'm maxed with TPC & AFC). Decided to spend a little time to see if that "The End of Men" Tucker Carlson trailer is real. Found a longer version on insta and it's even weirder than the version on Twitter. (vid tw for blood, dead animals, injured or dead people) 1 of 3

The insta account appears to belong to "Andrew McGovern, an Ohio-based fitness professional" who Tucker Carlson had on his show on Friday, according to the Daily Beast. 2 of 3

And to put a cherry on top of the disinformation sundae, the extended trailer features RFK, Jr. I'm not surprised he's part of a disinfo project, but I am a bit surprised he's branching out beyond anti-vaxx stuff. 3 of 3

My first impression of the setup at the anti-vaxx rally in LA which TPC is attending today is "WOW, someone spent a LOT of money on this thing." I've worked in this field, the gear alone is pricey and the staff to run it are usually union and paid well for their work. screenshot of the stage setup at the anti-vaxx Defeat the Ma
FYI- I'll be putting all the DTM pseudo-festival related stuff in this thread to keep it organized.

I'm not going to be covering the content much if at all b/c I expect it to be the same old anti-vaxx pseudo science. I'm more interested in the supporting orgs and # of attendees
