Why Joburgs electricity situation is more fucked than we all realise.

So I spent 3 hours inside a City Power depot today and heard several concerning truths about the state of @CityPowerJhb and @CityofJoburgZA power supply.
1. Loadshedding is causing double or triple the number of faults that usually occur. The system is old and can't deal on/off

2. The increasing number of trips means they need more technicians available. They don't have them so they must pay existing technicians overtime. They do not have money to pay that much overtime. #CityPower

3. They cannot fix outages, now being caused by loadshedding DURING loadshedding. So they have double the faults, not enough people and half the time to fix it.

@CityPowerJhb is also HEAVILY reliant on outsourced technicians, not all of whom are able to deal with the kind of outages we experience due to loadshedding. This adds to the problems because they are going to communities, log calls as closed but the call is not CLOSED

They just don't have the ability to do the job due to their level of training. So the few techs who can fix the outages are completely overworked, running from area to area. #CityPower @CityPowerJhb

On top of this loadshedding isn't getting any better so by winter joburg resident could have a HUGE problem on their hands with the sheer quantity of outages vs technicians. @CityofJoburgZA #joburgPowerCrisis @CityPowerJhb

This message gives an indication of how stretched @CityPowerJhb is.
My question is has @Our_DA and @mphophalatse1 adequately prioritized maintenance and technicians in Joburg to resolve the #joburgPowerCrisis
