In honor of 4/20 I will tell my favorite weed story.
It's 1998? 99? I'm on tour in Amsterdam. We're playing the Melkweg that night. Obviously, we binge on space cakes that morning.
Except one of us -- me -- really overate. It's showtime, and I am fucking useless.
I stumble may way through the show. It's not pretty. I think I literally stared off into the ether in the middle of one tune.
Afterwards, one of the singers reams me out. But not for being too high to play.
Nope, I get yelled at for *not being that stoned at every show*, to prepare me for this very Amsterdam moment.
It's a lesson I try to take to heart every day. #Happy420
