First up tonight on an EPIC, birthday #FridayNightZillow thread: A Le Petit Trianon reproduction in Georgia — built by a Saudi Prince and then renovated in the last decade with ~$5M worth of Gaud. It's *unbelievable.* zillow.com/homedetails/12…
Gold leaf just on the entrance door. These people went all out on the gold leaf. Trust me. #FridayNightZillow
This closet is part of the epic ~3,000 sf, two-floor master suite. They sleep upstairs in the winter, downstairs in the summer, with master baths on both floors and this see-through two-way fireplace separating the his-and-hers throne chairs. $8M, *furnished*! #FridayNightZillow
This is, per the wife giving tour to a YouTuber, a party shower "for eight." (!!!) #FridayNightZillow
Even the pool has a sort of Sun God/Pharaoh feel. Insane. #FridayNightZillow
This is what you see when you walk into the house. A lot of these really rich people's houses have artwork like this. Especially the ones with the largest party showers for some reason. #FridayNightZillow
This is a giant door leading to the library. It has fake books on the front. Madness. #FridayNightZillow
The office/library is trimmed everywhere in gold leaf, but then has a generic HP monitor on it??? Are you kidding me? #FridayNightZillow
This kitchen is causing one of my eyes to twitch. I think the gold pot-filler is sending me over the edge. #FridayNightZillow
I had a lot of laughs watching the tour of this crazy Georgia home with the owner by @RyanSerhant, who got a lot of crazy details that aren't in the listing.
This is the master bedroom. Check out the giant lounge seat. Then it's on to a lot more homes! #FridayNightZillow
Up next: A Bar Harbor mansion with Frank Lloyd Wright-adjacent design and wonderful views. $2.5M. 5 acres bordering Acadia National Park. A Maine postcard on #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/30…
Nice sitting area. A little fussy for my taste but I don't mind the color and love the wood dome. #FridayNightZillow
I guess this is some kind of weird children's chair collection hanging on the wall to the right? And a tray ceiling with a wallpaper border that matches the drapes and the upholstery in the big chairs? I'd have to redo this room. #FridayNightZillow
Every wanted to have your own pub in the back of the house? What about a secret garden? Like the beach? This $1.25M bungalow in Long Beach just might be your dream home. #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/28…?
I kind of love/hate this Chattanooga mansion. The interior is great. One of the best bedroom views I've ever seen. Not sold on the exterior design, though. What do you think? #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/90…
This has been a really fun birthday hanging out with you all. Hope you enjoyed #FridayNightZillow! I had a lot of cool houses I didn't get to tonight so you just might get #SaturdayNightZillow tomorrow.
Big thanks to wife, sis-in-law and daughter for finding most of the houses!

Two years ago, Congress considered banning 18-20 year-olds from buying AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles after the Uvalde massacre, and some Republicans were briefly open to doing so but ultimately blocked including a ban in the bipartisan gun bill signed by Biden.
Then-Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a law raising the age to buy guns in his state to 21 after the Parkland massacre, but then opposed doing the same for the nation as a US Senator. He told reporters it was easier to do it at the state level.
McConnell actually enacted a law one day to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21. But he didn't want to talk two years ago about a proposal to raise the age for buying rifles.
Soaring cost estimates for extending Trump tax cuts set up a crucial 2025 fight:
*CBO puts tab at $4.6 Trillion over next decade
*Fight comes with US debt far higher than 2017, interest costs ballooning & Social Security cliff looming...
w/@chrisjcondon bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
*Trump wants more tax cuts, along with massive new tariffs — aka a tax on imports — that would raise consumer prices but offset at least some of the cost.
*Biden wants to extend breaks <$400K a year paired with higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
If past is prologue, Congress will again play Santa Claus. With a few exceptions, Congress has repeatedly increased spending and cut taxes since 2001.

"What happens in jail stays in jail" lol. Jail-bar pillows are a nice touch. #FridayNightZillow
One of the scarier things I've seen on Zillow. Let's hope this is a prop and not an actual electric chair. #FridayNightZillow
Ozempic can be produced for less than $5 a month, a new study found, but Danish company Novo Nordisk charges Americans $968.52. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Bernie Sanders insisting the company charge Americans no more than it charges Canadians for the same drug.

McConnell helped nix:
Roe
Campaign finance reform
Individual mandate
Medicare dental & vision
Dream Act
$35 insulin cap
Minimum wage hike
Flag burning amendment
Making Election Day a holiday
Public option
SCOTUS filibuster
Pro Act 1/6 Commission
Oil export ban
Cap&trade
Tax hikes
Vast majority of laws since 2007 have had either the acquiescence of McConnell or his outright support, with notable exceptions, like the Affordable Care Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, Obama stimulus, Biden Covid relief, Dodd-Frank, Lilly Ledbetter, USA Freedom Act, Paygo.
One way to look at McConnell is that he has often had the role of editor of Congress. Empowered by the filibuster and his conference, he had a key veto point in Washington; spending, taxing and legislating had to pass through his filter.
