Thread: We sadly cannot automatically update picked TOTD maps when an author updates/cutfixes their map.

Maps could for instance no longer qualify for TOTD with an update, secret finishes could be added, the entire map could be different...

Essentially any update to a map, if we could detect it (which we can't and don't have a lot of time for) would need to be checked all over again by us. When a map is picked, we deemed *that* version suitable. Our team doesn't have a lot of time to retest everything.

Sometimes we don't see a cut, sometimes an author knows about a cut and we don't, it is how it is.

It can be frustrating for authors to update a map, and see an older version picked in TOTD, and we can emphatize with the frustration. Having your map picked should be fun.

I don't have a concrete solution for you, and this tweet may not reach a lot of mappers, but I am always open to help you out as much as I can.

I do not pick Tracks of the Day myself. If you created a track you think *might* be picked for TOTD, and you update it:

You can DM or E-mail me the updated version and a changelog of *what you changed*.

Put in title: Update of map [mapname]

I can check if we picked your map for TOTD, and test your new version and compare it with the old myself, to save my colleague(s) time.

I will never be able to tell you if we indeed picked your map. I will never guarantee you that if your map has been picked, that it will be replaced by your new version. All I can guarantee is that I will have a brief look, and make a judgement call.

This hopefully provides you with an option (for now) to suggest new edits to your map to a potential TOTD. I don't wish to engage in debates on this tweet - I just want to provide a solution to some it may be useful to.
