Initial reaction: fudders fudded. They thought it was "just a shoe", and floor dropped from 8e to 4e. For all of 15 mins. Because true @RTFKTstudios fam knows it's more. And we were definitely not prepared for it..

The skin vial can be equipped and unequipped to the base shoe without losing any "charge". Consequently, you can buy/sell the Cryptokick with or without the vial.

But note this - because the metadata update on @opensea is slow - a seller can unequip a skin vial before accepting a buyer's bid. So you think you're buying an equipped one, but may end up with a base. So for now, don't buy an equipped Cryptokick.

What about value? After the initial fud which lasted less than an hour, the original MNLTH mooned and now sits at 11.5

For now, all skin vials of a DNA (say human 10k) and kicks look the same. But it wouldn't be. In the video, RTFKT has explained there will be breeding and gamification to evolve the skin vials (EVO) along different pathways. So potentially each skin vial can look different.

Speaking of @Nike, this is the first line of phygital products it has proudly put its swoosh on. This is not trivial. Nike is extremely protective of its brand and would not put it on something it is not confident of, and putting huge resources into.
