Already spotted at the @MIGOP nominating convention: Gubernatorial candidate Perry Johnson making the rounds. AG candidate Matt DePerno is also circling the room, as are SOS candidates Rep. Beau LaFave (R-Iron Mountain) and Chesterfield Township Clerk Cindy Berry.
A video for Johnson is trying to tie himself, DePerno and Karamo together as the "quality" ticket for Republicans.

Many I've spoken with today say the AG vote will go to a second ballot where the push will be for Tom Leonard to succeed. Karamo is believed to have SOS in the bag
SOS nominating speeches are being given now. Up first is a speech for Cindy Berry, who the speaker is saying that she will "wipe away the slime of George Soros" if given the chance. Berry is the only candidate out of the three to have any election administration experience.
Another speaker, seconding the motion for Berry says that she has a proven track record of supporting former President Donald Trump. Berry speaking now, talks about her history of toppling Dem candidates and that SOS Benson has "lost the public trust" to administer elections.
Berry speaking now talking about how she plans to "clean up" the state's voter rolls, implement statewide signature verification standards and emphasize walk-in services at the SOS.

Personally, having recently renewed my tabs, I can attest that the last one is already happening.
A nomination for Kristina Karamo has just been issued to deafening cheers from the crowd. However, I think the speaker just introduced her as a "godless" woman? Unless I heard wrong? But other media friends are also wondering the same thing so maybe I didn't mishear...
Sorry for the shaky video, but Karamo had a decent showing of supporters lap the hall after her first nomination. Berry, by contrast, had no one.
Wildly, Kristina Karamo played a video touting her campaign, literally came out and waved to the crowd and then turned around and left the stage. She did not say anything, and stayed for less than 30 seconds.
Rep. Joe Bellino and Sen. Aric Nesbitt came out to nominate Rep. Beau LaFave, touting him as a "superhero" and the person to get "radical Leftist Jocelyn Benson" out of office.

LaFave speaking now, talking about how he's the only one who fought for election integrity pre-2020
U.S. Rep. Lisa McClain us up to nominate Matt DePerno for AG. The cheering is so loud for him you can hardly hear her.

Rep. Sue Allor just got off stage after nominating Rep. Ryan Berman for the AG role
There is an absolutely insane amount of people out here for DePerno, who’s blasting “Eye of the Tiger” while being championed by MyPillow’s Mike Lindell on stage as a campaign video plays in the background.
The video also contained a clip of Trump slamming “RINO Tom Leonard” prior to speaking. DePerno, though on stage and was hyping up the crowd, also did not speak to the delegates, much like Karamo.
U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman now up to nominate Tom Leonard, former Republican speaker of the house. Bergman: “I truly believe (Leonard) is the only candidate in this race with integrity” who can get the job done on day one.
Sen. Tom Barrett is also up to tout Leonard, and you can very loudly hear booing from the back that, while sporadic and small during other candidates' nominating speeches, was far louder than what I've heard for anyone else.
Leonard supporters now up before the podium loudly chanting “let’s go Tom” as Leonard, wife Janell and their daughter lap the stage. He also did not speak to the crowd.
Outside of SOS/AG, there are other contested races up at the #MIGOP nominating convention: the MSU Board of Trustees, U-M Board of Regents and State Board of Ed. For Wayne State/Supreme Court. Delegates can vote for only 2.
In the instance of the Wayne State Board of Trustees and the Supreme Court, where delegates can also only vote for 2 candidates, there are only 2 folks running.

For those aforementioned races (MSU, U-M, BOE) four candidates are running.
State Board of Education nominating speeches are now being given and there's a hefty, hefty push toward the idea that schools are indoctrinating students by pushing "gender confusion and LGBTQ " on them according to State Board of Education member Tom McMillin.
The word "indoctrination" keeps coming up, and being used to describe how schools are allowing "sexual perversion and porn in the classrooms and school library."

I would love to see where this is happening because all of this was offered as fact and without a shred of proof.
Anyways, the SBOE candidates are Linda Lee Tarver, Michelle Frederick, Richard Zeile and Tami Carlone.

Frederick just gave a small speech saying that the vote for BOE is a part of the fight "for our children's hearts, minds and souls."
Linda Lee Tarver just came out to a video that would only be apt to describe as "like a movie trailer," which contained a statement from her saying that a family member of hers was lynched by "the Democrat KKK" in AL before moving to MI. Says she can and will fight for the state.
There’s been some technical difficulties in going through MSU board nominations. Rick Windorf has also apparently withdrawn his candidacy for the MSU Board of Trustees.

That means candidates for the board are Travis Menge, Melanie Foster and Mike Balow.

President Donald Trump just logged on to tele-town hall for GOP AG candidate Matt DePerno, and is lavishing praise on both he and AG SOS candidate Kristina Karamo.

Says AG Dana Nessel has done "nothing but obstruct" during her time in office.
He's also pushing Antrim County falsehoods saying "anyone with a brain" wouldn't believe that there wasn't fraud in the county. Pivoting back to DePerno, says that he'll investigate "cheating in Detroit" apropos of nothing, and is hammering hard on alleged fraud in Dem cities.
Trump is also now that Michigan is experiencing "record setting crime, like no one believe" which is... news to me, currently sitting in Lansing and having lived in Michigan my whole life.

He's basically hitting all the GOP high points of supporting the unborn, pro-police, etc.

House Oversight begins with Rep. Sue Allor, sponsor of a bill banning the idea of COVID vaccine passports, positing a completely untrue idea that if she did not get the COVID vaccine (and should passports exist) she might not be able to go to sporting events or the grocery store.
It should be noted: Governor Gretchen Whitmer has never toyed with the idea of a vaccine passport. Her office has already referred to the committee going on this morning as "a circus."
WOW: A constitutional scholar is now insinuating how a vaccine passport would be similar to what Jews during the Holocaust were forced to wear.

"You're deciding which side of history you want to be on, 20 years from now."

The Senate Elections Committee will gavel in, in a moment, to discuss seven bills of the 39-bill elections law package. Topics of the bills include establishing a deadline for returning AV ballots to drop boxes and regulating said drop boxes, among other things.
The meeting is live, awaiting the arrival of Sen. Curt VanderWall (R-Ludington). misenate.viebit.com/player_live.ph…
A woman with Sen. Mike MacDonald's office is now speaking on SB 278, which would outline collection procedures for absent voter ballots deposited in an absent voter ballot drop box. Says the bill came about as folks are "having doubts about the integrity of our elections systems"
