I think I meant to and forgot. The episode is very long already!

But fwiw this album sounds very different from Funky Headhunter. Will didn't put on a thug costume like Hammer, he (perhaps to his detriment) still sounds like Will all the way through

This sounds like a good way to put it, yeah. I've never heard an album try so hard to ride trends as this

Some people have told me that they appreciate Will going hard on organized religion, and I get that that's a rare and underexplored topic especially in hip-hop, but I still think it's a reach to connect Will's judgy ex with 9/11
I didn't show this part but Will is not coming at it from an atheist perspective, he repeatedly expresses his religious bonafides, as in, "I'm a real Christian, I live my faith every day, I don't need to flex it like you, a born-again who discovered Christ in her mid-30s"
Gotta say, after all the criticism Will got for his "don't curse" preachiness, it must have felt nice to be the one calling someone else preachy. (and to call someone an Uncle Tom for that matter; it wasn't super-common but I do remember Will getting called that)

Now here's a fascinating thing about how YouTube revenue works in regards to copyright. Keep in mind I'm not complaining here; my money has always come mostly from Patreon, anything I make from YouTube ads I've always considered a bonus.
Anyway, most of my shit gets copyright-claimed, I used to not dispute it because it takes forever, last year I decided to drill down and challenge all the claims in my massive backlog.
Here's how it worked for my "Worst of 2021" video. I post the video, it gets autoflagged by bots, the ad money starts going to copyright holders. I disputed their copyright claims ASAP, they get 30 days to respond. In the meantime, YouTube puts the ad money in escrow and waits

Angel S1E7: The Bachelor Party

Probably the Buffy-est episode of Angel yet, a goofy villain who talks like a normal guy but is gasp a demon, inching towards a Cordelia/Irish Guy romance. I don't know, I liked the darker Angel episodes a little better
Buffy S4E8: Pangs

Hoo boy. "Buffy vs. White Guilt" is a premise whose fundamental awkwardness they do at least attempt to play for intentional laughs. Like ha ha... we're in way over our heads. Still, I would recommend they not try to thread that needle again
Angel S1E8: I Will Remember You

Hoo boy. They have SMG for one episode so they swing for the fences, but I'm not sure they pull it off... the clunkiness of the setup, the reset button ending, also did they explain why the demons were samurai?

First comedy villain of the series? In any case, I agree with its thesis: sharing emotions is a curse, causes problems and is bad
Buffy S4E7: The Initiative

The reveal that Riley is in the Initiative would be intriguing if I hadn't been spoiled on it (and on how it won't make him any more interesting)

Also, even though I knew this too, Marsters replacing Seth Green in the credits is still very jarring
