Last night I flew to Boston to surprise my long-distance boyfriend, and when I landed he tested positive for Covid.
Some pics from the moment of realization while I FaceTimed him ***from the Boston airport***
This has been a months-long scheme with my Boston friend group.
The girls lured him out to dinner, where the surprise was supposed to happen— but hours before, Aaron starts to flake???? No it can’t be!
The girls were consulted in a moment of crisis— my plane is about board at this point.
In the larger group chat where he is included— my friends guilt him and sew an intricate lie: the restaurant has a $25 PER PERSON cancelation fee!!!! Crazy!
Separately, Aaron’s frustration builds (and I have no real motive to push him to go to this dinner, so I look unhinged)
Actual prayer candles were lit— my plane is about to take off.
When I land we decided to call off the surprise. I FaceTime Aaron: “surprise! I’m at the airport, you need to get to dinner right now”
He is STUNNED and overjoyed (we haven’t seen each other since March)
But before he leaves: a Covid test.
He takes a rapid test

Another one:

At this point, you just laugh at it, and take the L.
I still met up with my friends— margaritas were consumed, and I’m sleeping on Sara’s pullout couch.
Anyways— I’m in Boston for another 2 days 🤷🏻♀️
