Congratulate FM @nsitharaman ji on a forward-looking Union Budget 2022-23.
This #AtmaNirbharBharatKaBudget is in line with PM @narendramodi’s vision of long term growth and inclusive development. It is also the budget that lays out the prospects of New India.
India’s place in the emerging world order will be determined by a comprehensive and sustainable recovery. This budget provides the roadmap.
Providing the right framework for enhancing competitiveness of exports is one such example.
Priorities such as PM Gati Shakti, inclusive development, productivity enhancement & investment, sunrise opportunities, energy transition and climate action and financing of investments are need of the hour.
Chaired the 18th RIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Discussed contemporary global issues. Highlighted that:
1. Covid-19 pandemic has alerted us to the need for more reliable global supply chains, especially in health.
2.RIC countries must recognize vaccination certificates issued by each other. The world should avoid unreasonable and unscientific travel restrictions.
3.There is a crying need for reformed multilateralism. Defending the outcome of the Second World War does not mean freezing the world order at 1945 forever.
A powerful and impactful address by PM @narendramodi to the UN General Assembly today. 12 big policy takeaways:
1. Representing the Mother of Democracy and based on his own experiences, PM affirms that democracy can deliver, democracy has delivered.
2. His governance vision is one where no one is left behind. Therefore, the pursuit of integrated and equitable development. The numbers PM shared speak for our Government’s record.
3. The impact of India’s development on global progress is evident. As PM noted, when India grows, the world grows; when India reforms, the world transforms.
4.A strong message of a foreign policy for global good. India’s importance as a responder and a contributor underlined.
Indo-Pacific is a strong message. India will not be boxed between Malacca Strait and the Gulf of Aden. Our interests & activities go way beyond. Australia and France are part of that canvas.
Multilateralism has fallen short. And bilateral delivery is not what it used to be. World moving towards multipolarity, rebalancing & plurilateralism. Shared values and comforts are creating new combinations. Will not fall for mind games.
