The amendment was defeated by the NDP-Liberal coalition.

The NDP fully sold out on Thursday:
First, they voted for a procedural motion to prevent the Ethics committee from (finally!) getting to the bottom of the WE Charity Scandal.

They negotiated a motion (No. 11) that will allow the government to extend sitting hours without notice until June 23.
(In so doing, they showed no care for the workers on Parliament Hill or their families)

The worst part of motion 11 is a provision that empowers a Trudeau Minister to, without notice, move a motion to adjourn the House until September.
This provision essentially allows the Government to escape accountability should a scandal get too hot.

The NDP Whip @RABlaney whipped her caucus into voting to shut down debate on Bill C-8.
The NDP used to decry the use of time allocation as “undemocratic”.
Now they vote for it whenever Justin Trudeau tells them to.

I guess they can mail it in just like the rest of the Liberal backbench.
