I personally did not even see mumji becoming canon anytime soon because it seemed BD would leave them with an open ending for the audience to interpret, just like they had been teasing us with a possible ship. It's what many authors do a lot of times and that's perfectly fine. >>
The problem here is Jihwa wasn't outright killed by Seungho in his rage after he found out the truth. No matter what version of the truth. The fact that Seungho chopped off his topknot shows restraint and perhaps, some form of pity or care, we wouldn't know. But Seungho is >>
witty enough to realise that if Jihwa is coming to him to save NK, then Jihwa must be part of the pact too. But him leaving Jihwa like that, shows there's more to their relationship than just being fuck buddies, for him to have forgiven him so many times.
So why are we salty?
If you introduce a character like Jihwa and do all that to show that he's somewhat redeemable, then don't actually show any redemption (any actual one, at least) and don't wrap his character up with a fitting ending, then what was the point? He might as well have been a mob >>
character for that it's worth. But he isn't. And BD also said that his fall from social standing is his punishment (which it is, it surely is, but for everyone to be thinking he orchestrated the entire kidnapping, are the authorities just gonna leave him be and >>
shut an eye on him? how is that realistic? ) .
Moreover, MM letting him tag along because he took pity on Jihwa? You're telling me this man followed around the nobleman, kept him from committing a heinous crime (raping NK) and even offhandedly adviced him to come clean >>
to SH, all because he pitied him? Nah sir, that's not it. That's not how people work. People don't go that far for pity.
So that's the whole problem with MM and JH. It's not even that we want them to become canon though that would be nice, it's just that we need closure. >>
Also any JH fan in their right mind wouldn't want him with SH who doesn't even love him, especially after we've seen JH come to terms with that fact (if i remember right).
>>
Now on to Min.
Before I begin, fuck that motherfucker. Damn, he was a nasty bitch but. What a glorious villlain!
Who even wanted Min to live man? Who? Tell me names, i'll personally go meet them and have tea with them to understand the thought process. He was a detestable >>
guy, covered in wrongdoings and sinister motives, executing them perfectly for one whole season (or more I can't remember), so much so that we came to love him as a villain (yes you can love villains, but that's a whole topic for another day).
So you are telling me, that this >
guy knew what kinda man SH was, framed JH, kidnapped NK, faked IH's death and was fully prepared to gangrape NK even after knowing how volatile SH is (he probably even knew that if he gets caught then it would mean immediate death), and still proceeded to do all that, >>
just begged for mercy when his end was near? Like this super arrogant motherfucker is supposed to beg like a weasel after all that he had planned and carried out? Damn, you'd think BD would give him an end fitting of his character. Maybe he would have tried to have a last >>
laugh. Maybe he would have been overjoyed at how he manipulated SH after seeing that his JH framing shit was done and SH knew it was him behind all of it
Maybe you'd expect him to be a sinister motherfucker till the end. But what happened instead?
He begged for his life. >>
Sure, in the last moments before death, you're scared. That's logical. I am perfectly fine with begging for mercy as a last resort. But what about the character's personality? How do salvage such a flaw in the character's last moments? He could have been his arrogant self >>
till the very end. For how much of a genius he was to have manipulated SH, NK, JH, Heena and a whole bunch of other people, this man would have realised by his end that his ruse was up. He should have gotten a last laugh. Instead he begged.
You see now what is wrong?
BD is a great artist, her writing seemed to be improving with the progress of the seasons and the characters, but for her to botch it in the end, especially when we know since Min is dead he can't have a side story because his POV is done for and that JH & MM are gone and >>
she admits that there will be no more of them in S4, it just screams that she got swayed by fans' opinions and decided to go this way.
In the it's her choice, like I said before, but that doesn't mean this choice is above criticism.
Anyhow rant over. This was solely my interpretation of the whole fiasco and I tried to articulate the problem and some of the fans' grievances as best as I could.
With that, cheers.
POTN can still be relevant to many and if it still floats your boat, read it. I will, >>
even if I'm currently unsatisfied, I would like to see where BD is going with the whole thing and if anything changes for the better or stays how she envisioned it in her Q&A.
Now then, I'm done. Bye bye.

People have to realise published work and fanfiction culture is poles apart. In fandom, you can say "don't like, don't read" and "unwanted criticism not welcome" and most people will respect that. >>
Because it's a tiny specific amount of people who love the author and/or their works or the ship. When it's such a Tony number, you can understand there won't be much room for so called antis/haters/critics.
For ex : I'm an author of smol fandoms. I barely get 100 hits >>
per work, but that also means I don't encounter as many antis or critics who drop unwanted criticism on me or cuss me out.
If I were a big account, it'd be different.
Similarly, we can say that if you are popular and/or write published works with big followings, you'll have >
