Ukraine SITREP 1. Russian air/missile strikes overnight and this morning were mostly stand off airstrikes in the south, but some yet unverified reports of impacts in the southeast and central Dnipro and Zaporizhia regions.
2. Shelling continued overnight in several locations with less reported around Kharkiv, but a significant increase on and around Mykolaiv. Shelling across the Donbas is sporadic this morning.
3. Ukrainian forces are reporting they shot down two Russian Su-25s and seven UAVs in the last 24hrs. The aircraft and five UAVs have been verified so far. Missile interceptions are not yet verified, but there were likely two.
4. Ukrainian forces continue to consolidate newly retaken positions to the east and northeast of Kharkiv with a number of other counteroffensive operations underway.
5. Ukrainian forces continue to launch counteroffensives on Russian resupply conduits to the south with more interruptions reported, but not specified as yet.
6. Russian forces around Izyum remained much less active overnight with some movements southeast again this morning. Russian manoeuvres continued this morning in the Lyman region with activity towards Oleksandrivka and Krymka.
7. It’s believed most Russian forces in this region are awaiting resupplies, orders or reinforcements as their offensive momentum has slowed. More reinforcements including mobile ADS arrived into the region in the last 12hrs.
8. In the Donbas region fighting and Russian offensives have become more fragmented and sporadic. Ukrainian forces have suffered some setbacks and casualties in some areas, but Russian offensives now seem to have slowed.
9. There continues to be some Russian activity along much of the front line in the Donetsk and Tavriya direction with an increase in shelling likely in coming days as new artillery reinforcements reportedly arriving this weekend.
10. There are reports Ukrainian forces are now getting reinforcements into the southeast regions effectively.
11. There are reports of further Russian airstrikes on the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol last night, with commercial satellite images now confirming significant damage to several buildings making it potentially dangerous to collapse.
12. The basement tunnels are significant at the plant with reports of a significant number of civilians still inside with Ukrainian forces.
13. Fighting around Kherson was reportedly fierce last night in the northeast, but only for a short period. There are some unverified reports a Ukrainian offensive near the airport may have been repelled. Ukrainian forces continue numerous operations in this region.
14. Air activity reported east of Mykolaiv this morning, it is unconfirmed if this is Russian or Ukrainian, but likely the later.
15. Russian Naval activity in the Black Sea was less active the last 24hrs with no imminent signs of any amphibious assaults.
