A 🧵 with highlights from today's #DisruptOT Social Occupational Therapy event. We accomplished another 1st! Today we provided a free educational event in Portuguese with simultaneous English translation. Speakers were invited to share what they wanted to discuss with no limits.

One of our speakers, Arissandro Sousa, is an artist, rapper, and community member (not an OT professional or student). He's a critical member of the Metuia team. He reminded us about humility (starting off groups by embarrassing himself) and that professionals aren't always

We heard from Drs. @anamalfitano_ and Lívia Pan about democratic participation, radically inclusive education, co-construction, and the broad considerations for occupational therapy in schools.
