McConnell mocked concerns over election fraud from the Senate floor on Jan 6. He openly opposed GOP demands for election audits, which was underway when the Capitol was “attacked.”

Tarrio and Pezzola just added to case. His attorney, Steven Metcalf, said he doesn't think he can be ready for trial until fall. DOJ admitted a few weeks ago they haven't made all discovery in the case available to defendants.
DOJ also threatened to add defendants, charges.
