Women were struggling to find comfortable & high quality prayer prayer garments.

A lady saw the opportunity to create better & more comfortable telekung (prayer garment).

Using innovation & clever marketing, she made it a global success.

This is the story of Siti Khadijah.👇
Siti Khadijah or SK was founded by Puan Hajah Padzilah Enda Sulaiman from Perak, Malaysia.

Her company was named after the wife of Prophet Muhammad, Siti Khadijah.

In 2009, she started selling telekung from her home in Kajang, Selangor to support her family.
After her husband's early retirement, he started his own business.

But the business was failing and they fell into heavy debts.

They had to do something to survive.

She started selling cosmetics and joined MLM schemes.
But, it didn't go well.

She knew she had good sewing skills that can be turned into a business.

Finding telekung where the face area can fit nicely was a problem then.

Her customers always asked for alteration.

She saw this as a big business opportunity.

She started it from home with only RM10k capital.

Her husband helped with the production but selling the first 200 units was hard.

She tried to sell them to travel agencies for their customers going for Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca).

Nobody was keen.

People thought her telekung was too expensive.

One day, she met a journalist at an event and the person agreed to write about her telekung.

That changed everything.

She received endless calls from customers.

Then she was invited to appear on TV and the sales went up.
It was not all positive.

They were criticised of turning the telekung into a branded wear.

She said she designed it in such a way so that it would encourage the wearer to pray.

People also copied her design and made fake products.
In 2014, two major events happened:

1. Her son, a digital marketer who used to work with Google Japan setup an online store.

2. Her products appeared on Astro Go Shop, an TV shopping channel.

She sold more than 50,000 units worth RM10m.
They're constantly innovating with their products and marketing.

New and fresh designs every year.

Clever and catchy billboards around the city.

Their e-commerce website is well-built.

This Raya / Eid, they started selling them in vending machines at the rest areas along the highways.

They know people will stop and pray at the rest areas and may need to use them.

They go into their minds of their customers.

She now produces more than 2,000 telekung daily, 10 times more when she started the business.

She created a business that employs women and people under B40s.

SK has more than 40 stores in Malaysia and abroad.

They're sold in Australia, UK, Canada & Japan.
Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs:

Be positive, strong, daring and never give up.

Always be learning and put your trust in God.

At 30, Zhang Junjie took CHAGEE to Nasdaq and built a $2.6B empire.

But his story didn’t start in boardrooms.

It started with survival. Don't miss this story. 👇🥤 Image
1/ Zhang lost both his parents at 10.

By his teens, he was barely literate.

No money. No family to lean on.

At 17, he took a job mopping floors at a milk tea shop the lowest position.

But he made a decision: Work harder than everyone. Image
2/ First to arrive. Last to leave.

In a few years, Zhang climbed from floor staff ➔ store manager ➔ regional director.

He learned tea inside-out: brewing, operations, management.

But he wanted more than a salary. He wanted a future. Image

Most people think government officers don’t care.

Slow to act. Hard to reach.

But in Sepang, something changed.

Azarul Azlan showed what happens when someone actually does the work. Image
1/ I’ve been reporting streetlight issues around Sepang district since 2018.

Nothing ever really got fixed. Until he took over.

In December 2022, Azarul Azlan became JKR's District Engineer.

And things started to improve. Greatly.Image

2/ Roads were repaved.

Streetlights that stayed dead for years were replaced with LEDs.

Even the roads and lights around Kuala Lumpur International Airport...

Once dark and embarrassing, now look and feel world class.

It finally feels like someone cares.

Malaysia Airlines was once losing. A failing airline. A struggling brand.

Today? It's becoming profitable again. Expanding. Winning passengers.

It was because of Datuk Captain Izham Ismail.

A pilot who took the airline through its hardest times. 🧵🛫 Image
1/ Datuk Captain Izham wasn’t a typical CEO.

He started as a pilot.

He broke records flying Malaysia Airlines' first Boeing 777-200 non-stop around the world in 1997.

In 2017, he took on his biggest challenge, to save the airline he had served for years. Image
2/ Back then Malaysia Airlines was in deep trouble.

• Billions in losses
• Public trust lost after MH370 & MH17
• Years of failed turnarounds

By 2015, it was declared “technically bankrupt.”

Datuk Captain Izham had two choices:

Play it safe or do the impossible. Image

Today he has more stores than Starbucks.

This is the amazing and inspiring story of Zhang Hongchao of Mixue. 🍦🧋👇 Image
1/ Zhang Hongchao was born in Henan province, China in 1978.

He came from a poor family and used to work as a farmer and fix motorcycles.

When he entered university, he was struggling to pay his tuition fees.

With limited choices, he asked his grandmother for help. Image
2/ She lent him 3,000 RMB (about US$400 / RM1,800).

Which he used to start a small business—a simple shaved ice stall.

He had a freezer, a few chairs, and a folding table and he even built his own shaved ice machine.

Change your marketing.

1. Sell your product with a story. Image
2. Don’t sell features, sell benefits. Image
3. Don’t compete on price, compete on value. Image
