Whats all the hype behind this #hgtp stuff we're seeing on CT?

Lets dive into what its all about 🥽

So what exactly is $DAG?

🪙 $DAG is the index token for @Conste11ation that is the core index token of all the data on their network Hypergraph #hgtp

💰 Unlike fiat currencies & many speculative crypto assets, the value of #DAG is intrinsically tied to aggregate data on HGTP

🤨Alright so the token has a reason to have value, but is there gonna be any real demand for it?

$DAG not only works as an index token of #hgtp, but it serves as bandwidth on the network

If you're a big corporation needing a lotta bandwidth, you'll need a lotta #DAG

So now we know $DAG #hgtp works w everything as data
Just how big is data overall?

Well data is fundamentally a technology, technology grows exponentially due to Network Effects

Lets look a little further into just how much data we generate

Those metrics were measured in zettabytes

If you haven't heard that term before, its likely cuz it's not needed until you're talking about HUGE amounts of data

🧮1 zettabyte = 1 billion terabytes = 1 trillion gigabytes

🤳Us humans create on average 2.5 mil TB a day

Now lets talk about the exponential side,

We hear 90% of datas been created over the past two years. You could go to any point in the last and next decades & that statement would still be true

🤖As technology continues to grow, our reliance & generation on data grows double

💡 Great, now we understand data better and its maturation overall

Lets talk about some issues with data!

💻As we grow more reliant on data the threat of bad data is all the more serious

🌃As we integrate more data, the need for real time data becomes all the more essential

Thats right, data doesn't just go to the extent of IoT & smart devices

Well heres all the industries data has disrupted

✔️Entertainment
✔️Security
✔️Mobility
✔️Logistics
✔️Communications
✔️Commerce
✔️Education
✔️Architecture
✔️MANY
✔️MANY
✔️MORE

So what can #DAG do with all this data?

Any network fundamentally is pieces of data, just many of them associate them as data blocks

This eventually gets inefficient & creates bottlenecks once demand goes past block size capabilities

This is why we see block sizes & TPS often

$DAG has taken this to another level thru their consensus model & network foundation as a...... DAG!

Well we've already talked about how large data as gotten, I'm sure you guys are getting the picture as to why a DAG fits $DAG now

Lets run thru parts of their consensus mechanism quickly

$DAG #hgtp uses a consensus mechanism they've built titled "Proof of Reputable Observation"

Essentially it solves the Oracle problem thru data provenance, tracing the data back to its point of origin to validate

I won't get deep into the technicals, but understand

❌It doesn't require large computation power like PoW
❌It doesn't require large amounts of capital like PoS
✅Its decentralized thru the community, so no $SOL
✅Its solved the trilemma at the foundational level

What $DAG does have similar with many other networks are NODES

🛰️Nodes are points in a network that validate data Some networks allow community to run nodes, some are closed to team n VC's🚩

Users can either run their own nodes or provide collateral for a soft node 250K #DAG

Enough about how the technology works, what we got now is

✔️Data is and will continue to grow exponentially
✔️ $DAG is built from the ground up
✔️ #hgtp is looking far beyond "validating transactions"
✔️They've solved the trilemma

Lets talk about my favorite thing, CONNECTIONS 🔗

$DAG is one of the few projects lucky enough to land an SBIR contract with the US Department of Defense

What started out as a Phase I contract in 2019, has seen since a Direct Grant to a Phase II

So the US DoD, the largest Defence agency worth $800 Bil+ is seeing usecases in $DAG

🏘Now the DoD is also split into various agencies from intelligence, to air, navy, land, homeland, etc

🛩#DAG will work with all agencies, with main focus is air mobility due to data amounts

Now remember how I said that if corps need more bandwidth they'll need more $DAG

🌍USTRANSCOM provides the DoD w mobility solutions at all levels. Land Air & Sea

🧑‍💻This inevitably leads them to be the LARGEST data generator on earth 1820TB/minute 😳

80% of thats passive data

They also work with Space ISAC, a consortium of companies & academias that are looking for innovations in space discoveries

Theres some huge schools like John Hopkins, some big techs like Microsoft and national security from Lockheed

Why'd they choose to work w ISAC and not a large space company like SpaceX or Virgin Galactic. Whose even heard of Space ISAC 🤣

🧠Well, would you rather partner with a strong company only working w space, or a diversified conglomerate of companies n academias w a long history?

Though this collab has ended, I like to highlight the scale of their works w MOBI

MOBI DLT is a consortium of car, tech & crypto companies looking to build the frameworks for our future of autonomous vehicles

Unfortunately both parties didn't see eye to eye. But don't discredit the work they've done together

🏪They built a standardized proposal for data exchange within a marketplace, titled CMDM

👛They also laid out why data exchange in a business to business environment often fail

✅Theres LOTS of data out there
✅Proof of RO creates a honest ecosystem
❌Blockchains don't solve everything
