1. There was no ANTI-PLUNDER LAW during the Marcos' case. (NO RETROACTIVE EFFECT - Hindi maaring hatulan ang mga Marcoses gamit ang 1991 ANTI-PLUNDER LAW)
2. In the 1955 Anti-Ill Gotten Wealth Act (RA 1379) which was the basis of the Marcos case, there was no imprisonment penalty for public officials. The only penalty for such offense is forfeiting all ill-gotten assets which happened to the Marcos' case.
3. The Marcoses have ill-gotten wealth. That is the legal truth. The Court has already ruled in several cases on this matter and such decisions are already final. You can disagree with it and are free to have your own opinion, but we need to respect the rulings of the Court.
4. The Swiss Foundation deposits ($658M) was considered ill-gotten wealth by the Supreme Court because the Marcoses failed to justify the lawful acquisition of these assets. (Korte Suprema: G.R. No. 152154 Republic vs. Sandiganbayan)
5. Nahatulan si Imelda Marcos ng Sandiganbayan noong 2018 na GUILTY OF 7 COUNTS OF GRAFT na may parusang 6 years each, or total of 42 years.
