The rights of the person are consistently defined in the Constitution + Bill of Rights + Amendments (C+BoR+A) as rights granted at birth or age from birth. Life, liberty, property, citizenship, free speech, press, assembly, due process, and bear arms are the rights granted [2/12]

at birth. Additional rights for voting and to hold office are rights granted at birth although attained at later age (measured as time from birth) constitutioncenter.org/interactive-co… [3/12]

The word “person” appears 49 times in the C+BoR+A. The word “born” appears twice, “age” appears 14 times, and “years” 22 times. Rights are consistently and only granted according to birth or age [4/12]

Ownership of self (life, liberty) is the cornerstone right upon which all others are built, while acknowledging that rights can be revoked for legal reasons ("nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" - 5th Amend) [5/12]

There is no right granted to any pre-birth embryonic or fetal state in the C+BoR+A. US Code of Laws statute (1 USC §8, 1947) defines person "every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development" [govinfo.gov/content/pkg/US…] [6/12]

The fetal human-potential is literately still a part of and naturally attached to the woman's body, and therefore not an independent entity. All rights of life, liberty, and property reside solely with the born host [7/12]

Alito's argument [politico.com/news/2022/05/0…] that our Founders did not anticipate abortion or grant it as a right is an intentional deception and fallacy [8/12]

According to historical documents, abortions were quite common and it wasn't until 1869 when abortion began to become controversial [cnn.com/2016/06/23/hea…] The Founders knowledgeably and consistently granted the rights of personhood only at birth [9/12]

What continues to remain true is that the most effective methods of decreasing unwanted pregnancies include improving women’s health care, improving sex education, and enforcing the law to enact justice against sexual crimes and abusers [10/12]

No party or person wants more abortions, but some want to make it illegal; while most want to make it unnecessary, albeit ultimately up to the individual to choose the outcome they deem necessary for their own body and health within the purview of their self-ownership [11/12]

Therefore, Alito's claim of "The Constitution makes no reference to abortion" is a canard and a sham (and I believe he's smart enough to know it), because there are no #rights granted pre-birth anywhere in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Amendments, or US Code of Law [12/12]
