I had a call from a @JoshFrydenberg volunteer tonight asking me what Josh could do better? I started with the destruction of the only University in his electorate with the border closures denying us students, the lack of job-keeper (despite Crown "cashing in"). A thread 1/N
I then moved onto how government money tends to get pseudo-randomly allocated without any tender or due process - like to Lark with its 12 employees getting 4.5M thread 2/N
Then I moved onto refugees, and how they are used as political footballs, how they are people, and how they shouldn't be locked up forever. 3/N - at this point he asked me if I would vote for Josh?
I then moved onto the great debate and what a farce it was and how I was probably going to vote for an independent. The phone then went dead. To be fair to this gentleman, he was quite sympathetic and polite and spent 10 mins with me. Not sure I persuaded him to vote @Mon4Kooyong
I also squeezed in a Federal ICAC! Hope this helps @JoshFrydenberg !
I also explained that I was a physicist and concerned about the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.
I would have loved to move onto how he disrespects @Mon4Kooyong by never using her name and calling her a fake independent, and how this is typical of how the Liberals treat women...
I also suggested that I thought that university education was probably more likely to lead Australia to economic prosperity than more tradies, but that the government seems obsessed with the latter.
And of course, let's not forget that when the people of #Kooyong were locked down, SO THAT WE COULD ACT LIKE A FUCKING COMMUNITY protecting the rest of Australia, @JoshFrydenberg stuck the boot in, and belittled our sacrifices. That was the final straw.
