This #NursesWeek, we are featuring some of the nurses and patient care technicians (PCT) who care for our patients. Meet KaShari Warren, a PCT educator in Shepherd’s Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program. We asked her why she’s so passionate about her work. (Thread)
✨ Describe your role.
"I educate nursing staff by training new hires at Shepherd Center and creating content to educate our current nursing staff on the latest best practices. In addition to educating staff, I work on the floor with patients who have sustained brain injuries."
✨ What do you love most about your job?
"Knowing that I am part of a patient’s rehabilitation, either indirectly by teaching staff or directly by being their PCT, and that I made an impact on their lives is so rewarding (continued)
When it comes to teaching, I love being able to inform my teammates about the latest in our field. Everyone learns differently, so one of the most fun parts of my job is assessing each person and teaching them in a way that works best for them."
