Here is why I am short the idea that $AAPL is going to launch and/or do anything meaningful in the world of AR (the glass) in the near future.
There is a great app for AR - let me hold my phone up and show me where my #Airtag is in 3D space - ya it doesn't exist.
I shit on the idea of #Airtags for years as they were a hyped thing, then $APPL shipped them and they turned out ok - so I should be careful.
But I have see the media/analyst community confidently predict products for years and they never ship.
When I got my first Jawbone for my BB Curve I thought, man it would be great if I could listen to music on this from my iPod.
Airpods were an obvious killer app - they solved a problem people had, and they did it well.
I remember on a trip to Mexico with this camera flicking around the touch screen in a way that would be similar to the iPhone. $AAPL
The $AAPL iPhone itself - who didn't want a combination of a
full screen video ipod
an internet communicator
and a phone
A mac with PORTS, fucking crazy!
$AAPL
So, what is the obvious use case for AR?
Well we all want @reckless's Linkedin integration that tells us who the hell we are talking to at parties, but that is a privacy nightmare and really want happen anytime soon, or ever.
$AAPL
Navigation for sure - but how many people need daily nav in a way not already served *well enough* from the phone?
Most people live pretty boring lives.
$MSFT has AR here, and it is good at telling you were to put bolts in a GE LM6000.
What could $AAPL drop in the next year, that they have built a foundation for that could change the game in AR?
I don't think anything.

1. I own $PIPE but don't spend a ton of time on it - lets take a look at what I own.
2. First thing – it is a production growth story $PIPE – plans to grow into scale over the next couple years.
3. They are doing this in a smart modern way – a product of the hell Canadian producers have been through for the past decade – equity heavy – less than 200mm of debt, but an aggressively growing share count. $PIPE
This one goes out to @itsMarkLittle and the entire asset integrity group at $SU.
