What are the sources that tell us what research was happening in Wuhan that could’ve plausibly led to the emergence of Covid-19?

Grants+reports submitted to US funders, FOI’ed emails from research collaborators, publications+academic theses from the Wuhan Institute of Virology..

.. interviews of the Wuhan Institute of Virology scientist, published in @ScienceMagazine and @techreview, telling us directly that their research on SARS-like viruses had been conducted at low biosafety levels (BL2/3) that cannot contain viruses like SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19)..

For crying out loud, their early 2018 plan to construct novel SARS-like viruses with novel cleavage sites was finally leaked by a whistleblower last year. theintercept.com/2021/09/23/cor…

These scientists harvested 100s of new SARS-like viruses from China & SE Asia over years, synthesizing & manipulating these at low biosafety levels, with a pipeline for cleavage site insertion.

But some scientists claim there is overwhelming evidence for a market #OriginOfCovid?

The evidence for a lab #OriginOfCovid is at least as robust and verifiable as the evidence for a market origin of the virus. They are not based on “rumours”.

The challenge is that evidence has and continues to be covered up or withheld even by people outside of China.

Part of the problem comes from the research collaborators/middlemen and funders who suddenly realized post-covid that, despite sending 💸 to Wuhan for several years, they had no access to the virus database or biosafety documentation.

Another part of the problem is that several scientists who have reasonably perceived conflicts of interests failed to declare these while writing letters & getting appointed to positions that would allow them to influence inquiries into the #OriginOfCovid

Yet another part of the problem is leaders in the US standing in the way of allowing scientists access to data that is already here in the US that could potentially tell us when and how this pandemic started. vanityfair.com/news/2022/03/t…

I don’t understand why it is taking so long to launch an investigation into the #OriginOfCovid and to collect witness accounts from US doctors who were in Wuhan in 2019.

This should’ve been done first thing in Jan 2020, not 2022+.

So much time & energy has been wasted in the last 2 years just fighting the group of experts and media who painted the lab #OriginOfCovid hypothesis as a (racist) conspiracy theory, and suing for their emails which showed they actually thought a lab origin was likelier than not.
