Here's how the New York Times described a symbol on the jacket of Brenton Tarrant, the New Zealand mosque shooter, in 2019. The Buffalo shooter unequivocally cites Tarrant as his primary inspiration. How do you think the New York Times would handle the issue today
Then there's this op-ed from 2020, co-written by former Democratic Congressman Max Rose and an FBI agent. Do you think the New York Times would commission an op-ed today that raised these points

Here's the "Senior Investigative Reporter and Spokesperson" at the Southern Poverty Law Center calling for Twitter censorship if you observe that the Buffalo shooter plastered the notorious "Black Sun" symbol -- a favorite of the Azov Battalion -- at the very top of his manifesto
In other words, the symbol displayed by the shooter at the top of his twisted manifesto is the same symbol displayed in the *official insignia* of the foreign military battalion that everyone's currently supposed to be lionizing as brave defenders of democracy. Those are facts
By the way, there was another pro-Azov rally this afternoon in NYC

The shooter in Buffalo writes that he chose the location nearby with the highest black population, and he regards black people in the US as "invaders," even though they've been in the country longer than the vast majority of his own ancestors (Italian.) Really sick and demented
He also explicitly labels himself a fascist, a white supremacist, a racist, and writes: "I support neo-nazism." So there's zero ambiguity about his stated beliefs. Even says he's copying the 2019 New Zealand shooter -- manifesto seems to be written in almost the exact same style
Looks to be expression of genuine beliefs interspersed with sarcasm/trolling, which is exactly what the NZ shooter did as well

Nazis Are Actually Fine Now, According to the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League

mtracey.substack.com/p/nazis-are-ac…
The SPLC and ADL were on hair-trigger alert for the entire Trump presidency to declare a national emergency every time a "Nazi" sneezed. Now there are rallies in US streets chanting praise for the "outright Neo-Nazi" Azov Battalion, and these groups have taken a vow of silence 🤔
I seem to recall not long ago people being declared Nazis if they vaguely made the "OK" hand signal. In this case, we're talking about foreign fighters who display symbols literally derived from the historical German Nazi Party, including the "SS" that carried out the Holocaust

Why Won't They Say Who Funded These Ukraine Ads?
mtracey.substack.com/p/why-wont-the…
These ads were crafted by the Ukraine government, and have been placed in some of the most expensive locations on earth (London, NYC, DC) simultaneously as the UK + US governments are being successfully lobbied to ramp up their military commitment to the war. Textbook propaganda!
While these ads are being displayed in major transit hubs and other prominent locations, the US/UK governments are being lobbied to ramp up their involvement in the war. This lobbying has been highly successful. But the PR agency behind the ads won’t say who’s paying for them!

This is a special moment for Adam Schiff, the number one diehard Russiagater in Congress. Gets to accompany Nancy Pelosi on a heroic mission to Ukraine, to see the fruits of his life's work: seeing to it that the US "fights Russia over there, so we don’t have to fight them here"
Perhaps the $33 billion top-line figure of the proposal Biden submitted to Congress for Ukraine will go up a few notches after this crew's bold, picture-perfect visit? After all, with the wartime adrenaline now coursing through Pelosi and Schiff, what's another couple billion?
Remember, when Schiff ran the impeachment trial of Trump in January 2020, he worked hard to ingrain the idea that the US was already at war with Russia by way of Ukraine. It must be so moving for him to personally witness this dream come true

Unsurprisingly, Rolling Stone has quickly turned into Daily Beast 2.0 under the stewardship of editor Noah Shachtman -- a former DC Think Tank "defense" operative who then turned the Daily Beast into the nation's foremost liberal/neocon online tabloid
Rand Paul simply asked why the US had "insisted on beating the drums to admit Ukraine into NATO" -- including in a new "Strategic Partnership" agreement Blinken brokered just last fall -- despite simultaneously claiming that Ukraine would not realistically be entering NATO
Rolling Stone then does the patented John McCain move -- really, John McCain pulled almost this exact move in 2017 with Rand Paul -- and accuses Paul of doing Putin's bidding. But the new liberal/neocon fusionists love to channel their inner McCain, as exemplified by this dunce:
