1/3 The argument that Amber Heard’s Family Law Firm was “just doing their job” is a spurious one.
State Bar Associations have a “Code of Ethics.” Rules that regulate their conduct 2 ensure lawyers follow the law, pursue justice & zealously advocate their client's best interests.
2/3 If a law firm behaves unethically, as Samantha Spector did filing an ex-parte DV hearing without informing opposing counsel, which is a violation of the code, who is there to hold them accountable?
The State Bar Association - that wrote the “Code of Ethics” in the 1st place
3/3 The attorneys, who make up the State Bar Associations, write the playbook, don’t follow it & don’t enforce it.
There is ZERO self governance or oversight in family law.
The Wild West of Family Law Gunslingers fire the Silver Bullet of false DV allegations at will.
ZERO RAMIFICATIONS for unethical behavior.
The few attorneys who attempt to follow #TheCode , have integrity, and try to follow the rules, get swallowed up, don’t last long, and eventually either leave practicing or start gunslinging themselves.
Dog eat dog.
Zero-sum games.

Some thoughts on what happened last week and who is responsible for the catastrophic failure of safety protocols on the RUST film set based on court affidavits and anecdotal evidence from those who were there…
Thread 🧵
1/24
In the days leading up 2 this preventable tragedy, production is running the crew into the ground with them driving an hour to & from work after 16 hour days on set.
The camera crew quits the night before the incident because of safety concerns & not having been paid.
2/24
On the fatal day, The 1st AD, Line Producer, Production Manager, UPM, Director, DP and lead actor/Producer spend lunch in meetings harriedly discussing crew members quitting and how to ‘make the day’ and how/if they can/will finish the movie on time and on budget.
