Twitter is a tough place to say everything you are thinking at one time. But I'm going to make an effort here in this thread to address white supremacist ideology.
First and most important. #FuckWhiteSupremacy and anyone associated with it. 1/
We can point to, and I have, examples of POC harming or murdering white, or Asian people because of hate. But the truth is as white people we have not had the experience of being in a state of consistent threat our entire lives. 2/
And that is OK. It does not make us bad people. It means that has not been our experience. But because of that we sometimes, and I include myself in all of this, dismiss other people's experiences because we do not see them. 3/
It is true that right now is the best time in history to be black in America, but that is only because the past was so damn abhorrent. There may be some POC who hate us because we are white and they may say bigoted things, but here is a major difference. 4/
There is a network of white supremacists who actively want to eliminate POC. They want to murder our fellow Americans, our fellow humans, our fellow children of God because of the pigmentation of their skin. 5/
What can we do? Listen, there is a place for the lawmakers and authorities to make everyone safer, including POC. But what we can do, as average citizens, is say in a loud, united voice that we denounce white supremacy and ostracize white supremacists. 6/
We must let it be known that they are not welcome as Republicans, Democrats or independents. And we must stop using race as a political weapon. That means both parties. 7/
Do not tell me it does not exist. In the past decade alone:
Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting.
Overland Park Jewish Community Center shooting.
Charleston church shooting.
Charlottesville.
Jeffersontown.
Pittsburgh synagogue.
El Paso shooting.
Buffalo massacre.
56 total dead.
8/
Sadly this will be used as a weapon against Donald Trump, Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham and anyone the left wants to target. The right will defend itself and guess what, everything stays the same. It does not have to be this way. 9/
We can unite. We can stand together and denounce this evil and do better to watch our words because some wacko could misinterpret what we said and use it to harm others. It is what we should do, but will we?

THREAD: Conservative we should talk about race. It took me time to learn this but, yes, black people are at certain disadvantages. I know you do not want to hear it, I did not either. But facts do not care about your feelings, remember?
Police, and people in general, do deal with black men in a way they do not deal with white men often. Not all the time. There is not anything or any group where you can claim "always" or "never." Stop it. Things vary.
Derek Chauvin may not be guilty of murder, I do not think he is, but if you do not think manslaughter, or think he did not do anything wrong, I do not know how to reach you. George Floyd's drug use, record, etc... do not matter. An officer should not do what he did that long.
This is perhaps the most important thread about @GetOnGab you are going to read. Many have asked me why I have been defending a website I don't even use as much as I have. Those people don't get the big picture.
I have not made a decision to not use Gab for any reason. I have been busy with Facebook and Twitter and did not want to learn something new. But I know many people on Gab and, now, I certainly intend to spend some time on Gab. And it's for an important reason.
Until Saturday, the vast majority of the people screaming to have Gab banned from the Internet never heard of it. Now, with no first hand knowledge, they are convinced that it is an alt-right meeting place for Nazis. Why? Are Facebook and Twitter the home of murderers?
