VoteReportPH has received over 9,500 reports, documenting incidents of possible election anomalies. The majority of the 2,927 validated entries have reported election incidents. A small fraction comprised campaign reports and final testing and sealing reports. 
We have documented 2,683 unique verified incidents so far. Reports of VCM and SD card errors (52.3%), electioneering or campaigning on election day (14%), and errors in the election process (11.2%) are among the most frequent types of reports verified.
A number of reports also documented vote-buying, military presence, general disenfranchisement, and general delayed voting, among other reports.
The number of documented VCM errors in this election surpasses that of the previous two automated elections in the country by a significant margin. These breakdowns have undoubtedly affected voter participation, leading to delayed voting and disenfranchisement in several cases.
Reports have also documented how people waited several hours, even up until the early hours of the following morning, just to be able to vote properly.
COMELECβs decision to uphold the 7 PM βdeadlineβ of voting on May 9, despite widespread clamor online and in some of the precincts themselves, also undoubtedly had a negative impact on the elections.
The scale of the ensuing voter disenfranchisement from this decision is hard to calculate, but the reports of long lines at precincts even as late as 7 PM certainly implies that many Filipinos would have definitely benefited from an extension of voting hours.
Additionally, electioneering, primarily in the form of campaign material distribution right outside of voting precincts, featured prominently in the elections with reports coming in from across the country.
These illegal activities have been a mainstay in Philippine elections, which the COMELEC should more actively combat as this is a clear affront to the electoral process.
Furthermore, other election process-related issues such as anomalous collecting of receipts and preventing voters from feeding their ballots into the machines themselves were also reported.
We urge the COMELEC to provide clear, consistent guidelines to the voting process and ensure stricter implementation of these guidelines; failure to do so can provide avenues for fraud and compromise the integrity of the elections as a whole.
In summary, with the breakdown of VCMs across the country, numerous reports of illegal activity prior to and during election day, as well as the likely mass disenfranchisement, it is clear that an investigation should be launched into the anomalies plaguing the 2022 PH elections.
