After watching roundups by political journos saying things like "polls have consistently shown a comfortable Labor lead but this could go with way and no one can predict" I am like do you listen to yourselves 🤯 #AusVotes2022
It's like in 2019 if the BBC said "polls overwhelmingly point strongly to a Tory majority but sources close to Mr Corbyn indicate private polling shows Transition to Socialism begins on Monday".
What to expect from Labor: (1) it's a cautious offer but more unified than the Shorten something for everyone grab bag; (2) I have hope near universal and pay equity could be transformational; (3) Climate I think could be better than expected because of legislation to establish/
Independent advice + strong pressure from Greens and Teals; (4) Albanese needs to take on Palasczuk on coal mines; (5) Social welfare very disappointing and needs budget priority, as does education and health; (6) Economic crisis more likely than not but Coalition appalling;
(7)/
Much better and much more housing policy needed urgently.
