Dems need to make it very clear that when Rs vote against taking tough measures to stop domestic extremists, they are themselves domestic extremists. That when they vote against providing baby formula to those in need, they are in favor of starving our children.
That when they vote to enable corruption, they are corrupt. That when they vote to pack the Supreme Court so it strips away the rights of women or voting rights, they are actively anti-woman and anti-democracy.
That when they impede aid to those fighting our enemies, that they are taking the side of those enemies. The GOP has gotten away with making a big public scene of identifying a problem and then voting against the solution for that problem.
They talk about inflation but have no plan to fix it. They talk about the right to life but they promote the sale of weapons of war that are killing Americans daily. Ignore their transparently hypocritical messaging. Don't seek to shame them when they're conscienceless.
Just make their record clear. They are a party of extremists, of racists, of misogynists, of opponents of basic freedoms, of enemies of the rule of law and democracy. Their words mean nothing. Their deeds reveal who they are.

ASEAN Summit and embarking on Asia trip show depth of admin foreign policy efforts, ability to maintain focus on their top priorities while handling the crisis of the moment. That's no small feat, especially in context of recent US foreign policy history.
@POTUS @SecBlinken @SecDef @JakeSullivan46 have maintained from the outset that a focus on Asia and counterbalancing China was a priority and have been following through--and doing so despite big distractions.
Last year as they dealt with the evacuation of Afghanistan they also teed up the AUKUS deal, advances with the Quad and the VP's Asia trip. Now, while leading allied efforts to support Ukraine, they are similarly sustaining and advancing their Asia agenda.

It's the guns, but it's not just the guns. It's the racism, but it's not just the racism. It's the misogyny, but it's not just the misogyny. It's the attacks on democracy but it's not just the attacks on democracy.
It's the assault on the truth, on teaching history and science, but it's not just the assault on the truth and facts and reality and banning books. It's the corruption but it's not just the corruption and the cover-ups and the obstruction of justice and the gaming of our courts.
What happened in Buffalo is not just about some isolated shooter, some deranged sociopath. He was fueled by an ideology of hate promoted by an American president, by a leading American news channel, by an entire US political party.

Alito is wrong on the law, wrong on the morality, but also, as it happens wrong on the history. For most of the first 250 years since the English colonized the US, abortion was legal prior the quickening, typically 16-20 weeks, when a fetus could be felt to move.
Laws against abortion in the US really only became common in the states in the late 19th Century. cnn.com/2016/06/23/hea…
The acceptance of the practice of abortion dates back to the civilizations that are at the root of Western tradition--Greece and Rome. bbc.co.uk/ethics/abortio…

The leaked Supreme Court abortion decision is founded not on precedent nor the law nor any concept of justice but rather on corruption & the flagrant, abuse of power. It would not happen but for serial acts of political violence against the intent & spirit of the Constitution.
It would not have happened were an election not stolen in Bush v. Gore. It would not have happened were an election not stolen in 2016. It would not have happened had Mitch McConnell twisted and perverted the rules of the Senate with this moment as his explicit goal.
It would not have happened without denying Barack Obama the ability to appoint a highly qualified nominee, Merrick Garland, to the Supreme Court. It would not have happened without whatever murky deal it was that led to the stepping down on of Justice Kennedy.

Disinformation & lies are all Putin, Trump & their acolytes have. The truth reveals who they are, their failures as leaders, their crimes. They ban books, attack history & science, silence teachers, because facts are kryptonite to them, seeing reality brings them to their knees.
They have created the myth of "cancel culture" to distract from the fact that they are the ones in the business of trying to cancel the voices that are calling them out, that reveal the odiousness and dangers of what they are doing and have done.
They talk about "freedom of speech" to make more room for their lies, to create environments where their lies are given the same status as truth, appear in such volume that it is impossible to know the difference between what is and what is not.

The richest guy on the 2021 Forbes 400 owns the Washington Post. Number 2 now owns Twitter. Number 3 owns Facebook. Numbers 5 and 6 started Google. Numbers 4 and 9 started Microsoft. Number 10 owns Bloomberg. Free speech? You decide.
Combine this w/the Citizens United formula that money equals speech & so those w/the most money are entitled to the most speech, lack of campaign finance regulation & pols who depend on $ to hold power & you've got a country sinking ever deeper into the quicksand of corruption.
So, if you're just an average American who thinks somehow Musk or some other billionaire is going to enhance the voice of the little guy on the Internet, you are a hopeless sucker who's not paying attention.
