Gonna do a #NationalStreamingDay random thoughts THREAD. I won’t review any streaming services because that’s not my style. Instead, I’ll give my opinion and suggestions for the future on the ones that I mention. Maybe a prediction or two. This could be a long one so here it goes
The #DisneyBundle is still an absolute delight. I’m glad that I got the bundle last November and Disney’s customer service were very friendly when I made the switch. That said, I do think the bundle will be reworked as time goes by. Especially once Comcast cedes Hulu
Once Comcast cedes Hulu, Hulu is gonna pivot from an SVOD + Live TV linear streaming to primarily linear TV streaming with premium add ons. It’ll compete with the likes of Fubo TV and YouTube TV. As for Disney+, it’ll definitely expand w/ general entertainment content…
(Cont…) and will include live streaming for live events. Note that I didn’t say live sports because not only is that ESPN+’s job, but also Disney+ could livestream a concert. I remember at the last WWE investor’s call, Nick Khan teased a partnership with Disney+ and Prime Video
I believe it’s a great idea for WWE to do a partnership with Disney+ once the Peacock exclusivity expires. Especially when they have a deal in Indonesia and more deals are in the works. In fact, WWE should license their Network to multiple platforms since it helps a whole lot.
As for the WWE Network, I’d bring the US version back as a FAST (free ad-supported television) service. Of course the PPVs will be on the paid streaming services that I mention, but it’ll be beneficial to have it for folks who are strapped on cash, but want to stay in loop
Impact Wrestling is smart to license their content to free ad supported services like The Roku Channel, Pluto TV as well as having their PPVs on Impact Plus and FITE app. I believe AEW should do a streaming deal with HBO Max since they also own the ROH tape library
The one thing #ParamountPlus is super smart with is their app is a premium add on for Apple TV and Amazon Prime. It helps the former a whole lot while it supplements the latter. I wish Peacock would do the same by making their app a premium add on for Apple, Amazon, and Hulu
The reason why I feel Peacock should be a premium add on for existing services because the stand-alone app isn’t very strong outside of licensed WWE content in the US. At least being a premium add on as well as a stand-alone can help Comcast in the long run.
As for Netflix, I do believe there’s still time for them to salvage their business, but they need to lower their prices and not be too harsh on the folks who are password sharing. Instead, find a solution. Why does HD and 4K quality have to be a higher price?
In regards to FAST services, don’t sleep on them. Those free streaming services are supplemental for those who also use paid services, but don’t want to overpay. Tubi, Roku Channel, and Pluto TV are pretty useful to watch something in the event there’s nothing on
That’s all I have for now. If you have any thoughts, please let me know and we can continue the conversation.

(End Thread)
Just kidding. The thread isn’t over just yet since I found my thread from last year on #Timehop where I reviewed. I’ll share my thoughts on each of them and give an update
Still do. Great news is Hotstar is integrated into Hulu in the US. Hopefully they integrate it with Disney+
Things are a lot different now since WB Discovery merged. Will there be an HBO Max? Time will tell
They’ve made improvements, but still got long ways to go
How is Comcast so stupid on not making Peacock an add on?
Oh how the mighty have fallen ever since tweet
I’ll just leave this here. No other changes
