Dhaakad has all the ingredients from cinematography, action sequences to stellar performance to make it a badass thriller but as a totality the movie falters in its storytelling thanks to abrupt screenplay and lousy character arc.
Highly Disappointed.

Kangana is a exceptional performer but at times she lets her star power influence the character she is playing, it was evident in Manikarnika & now all over again, the treatment is clear as day the written material is serving the star actor rather than the character.

This is the problem with most of the big budget movie lead by big stars in India across the industries, the movie becomes celebration of the actor than the script. I have said it multiple times and saying it again fan service jeopardise end product.
The End.

Remembering the legend Satyajit Ray who brought Indian cinema to world recognition, my tribute to the GOAT on his 101st birth anniversary.
Photo-biography below, contd..

Ray directing Sharmila Tagore and Soumitra Chatterjee for his film 'Aranyer Din Ratri' / 'Days and Nights in the Forest'.
There are times when you wish to say a lot, but you're short on words. This sums up my feeling on this 1979 movie, 'The Stalker' by the great Russian auteur Andrei Tarkovsky.
• 🎬 Stalker (1979) - Russia
Director - Andrei Tarkovsky
• 🎬 The Seventh Seal (1957) - Sweden
Director: Ingmar Bergman
🎬 Pather Panchali (1955) - India
Director - Satyajit Ray
This is a realistic movie which captures human emotions when every thing is stripped to its bare minimum. The actings is life like and has a brilliant cinematography. Its a masterpiece.
