1/ Why we at @HarvestMoonCLTV are Bullish on NFTs, the NFT space and, particularly, the NFT space on #SongbirdNetwork, the canary network for @FlareNetworks

🧵 A small thread

2/ NFTs represent unique digital assets which ownership is secured on the blockchain. This sentence alone allows us to think on multiple uses for NFT's. Although the NFT explosion ocurred in 2018+, NFTs are a little older than that and have matured a lot between 2017-2022.

3/ NFT's have been associated almost exclusively to digital art and as a easy quick cash grab for ruthless scam "artists" but there are so many uses one can foresee for these digital instruments.
People think it's just a fad but the World isn't going to backtrack on going digital

4/ NFTs allows for encoding ownership to any asset (identity, IP, art. real estate, legal documents, etc) in a secure and traceable form. If developed correctly, NFTs have the power to change our world for the better, cut red tape and streamline almost any procedure 4 the better

5/ But what about the art? Why should I pay for a JPEG when I can download it for free? What a scam!
WRONG.
You can also download and print Edvard Munch "The Scream" and place it in your living room, so why did a collector pay 120M $ for it?

6/ Simple: to confirm ownership of that asset, traceability and to enjoy the social status that comes along owning said artwork.
The same happens with NFTs: people are jumping on it because ownership is scarce and the social prestige that it entails is worth the money and more.

7/ Do it for the culture! We all like to blend in with fellow minded people and to suddenly be able to join very vibrant communities with a common imagery and aligned interests. That's what people have done with all type of brands (clothes, shoes), music and political movements.

8/ Additionally and although volatile, NFT projects (if chosen correctly) can be a great hedge against crypto inherent risks and volatility. And @FlareNetworks cross-chain bridging solutions brings us even more hope.

9/ Why bullish on Flare / Songbird Network? Fast, secure and virtually inexistent gas fees: anyone who has experienced buying and trade NFTs on Songbird knows how superior the experience is when compared to Ethereum. And what about the community?

10/ Albeit smaller, the most vibrant NFT community ATM lives on Songbird Network: Tight knit, kind, and innovative! Projects like @SuperBadSeries by @Nurgle, @thefatcatsNFT, @TrippyCityAI , @xToadz and so many others have found a way to give back to everyone who invested in them

11/ Songbird Network NFT players are progressing and rising to the occasion: better art, more utility and a greater variety of projects for every taste and kink. We will continue to invest and developing on Songbird, planning at least 2 more projects in the next 6 months.

12/ #CockyRoosters is our firstborn which means we've made some mistakes but we are so proud of seeing each Rooster leaving our house and joining his new family. This is just the beggining of our story. Don't let us out of your sight!
